Three of the four full-timers in my department left in the past few weeks. I'm the other, so I'm stuck with a bunch of new people with no experience at the most critical time of year.

I've actually been somewhat cold lately, which hadn't really been happening in Arizona to me. I may be weakening.

I got an email about how my grandpa's doing in his new assisted living home, as well as an update on his failing health and how things are now.

I didn't know that his health was failing, nor that he had moved out of his lifelong home. My dad...could be better at dealing with bad news.

As of last night, nobody had lined up at my store yet (usually this begins a week in advance). I'm hearing that this is happening all over. I'm hoping this signals an end to the Thanksgiving night experiment.

It's a neat word, is all.

I'll be spending my most recent "weekend" sick again, it seems, as Sour Cream picked something up and promptly passed it on to me because she loves me and whatnot. We'll see if I can avoid a third sick Black Friday shift.

I'm having the best sales month of my life and am trending toward a sizable bonus. I keep waiting for it to fall apart because I work in such a small store, but so far, so good.

I usually do my brother's birthday on this date, but I should probably attempt to do something different. On the other hand, it's almost 2 in the morning.
