We haven't really had the cicadas buzzing away around our house, and we've got a decent amount of trees in the neighborhood (six large ones in our yard alone). However I was driving with the windows open next a forest preserve not too far from the house and you could almost feel the noise coming from the woods. Guess that's where the party is.

June 4, 2024: School’s Out
Well, we’re done now. We’ve got options for Rick, but Pete is going to be harder to deal with. He’ll be going into 8th grade next year, and I don’t feel that’s quite old enough to be by himself all day. We’ll see how this works…

Have a day, citizens!

We had a lot of rain yesterday, and while driving home I noticed a flooded corner with an obviously plugged drain. Very satisfying.

Well, at least we have PWHL Minnesota. Great season from the Wolves (and a terrible last game).

Many congratulations to PWHL Minnesota! Super awesome and super happy to see they earned the league's inaugural Cup.
May 29, 2024: Woof
That was ugly, but I'll take it.
KAT and Ant definitely had good games and we wouldn't have won it without them, but my official shoutout goes to Jaden. The stat sheet will not show how important he was to that game. Also, Bite Bite was playing that game like he didn't want it to be his last, and was also huge.
May 28, 2024: He Gone
