Minor Details: Games of April 26

INDIANAPOLIS INDIANS 6, ST. PAUL SAINTS 5 IN ST. PAUL

Aided by three walks, Indianapolis put up a three-spot in the first inning.  Undaunted, St. Paul tied it with three in the second, as Patrick Winkel hit a two-run homer and Anthony Prato followed with a solo shot.  They took the lead in the fourth when Carson McCusker singled and later scored on a ground out.  The lead was short-lived, however, as Indianapolis scored another three in the fifth.  They were once again aided by walks, two of them this time, plus a wild pitch.  Jeferson Morales singled home a run in the fifth to cut the margin to 6-5, but that was as close as the Saints would come.  They got the tying run to third in the seventh and Prato hit a leadoff double in the ninth, but it was for naught.  St. Paul was 1-for-13 with men in scoring position.

WICHITA WIND SURGE 7, SPRINGFIELD CARDINALS 0 IN WICHITA

Tanner Schobel led off the bottom of the first with a triple and scored on a Rubel Cespedes single.  That was all Wichita would need, as four pitchers combined for a three-hit shutout.

It wasn't all they got, of course.  In fact, they scored another in the first, on a Kala'i Rosario double.  They added four in the third, as Ricardo Olivar led off the inning with a home run and later in the inning Noah Cardenas hit a three-run homer.  The final run came in the seventh on a Jake Rucker RBI single.
