Atlanta organization (AA Mississippi) releases Eddie Morlan.
Cleveland designates Adam Everett for assignment.
Colorado places Jose Morales on the sixty day disabled list.
Houston organization signs Brad Hennessey, sends him to AA Corpus Cristi, then promotes him to AAA Oklahoma City.
Houston organization (AAA Oklahoma City) places Ryan Rowland-Smith on the seven day disabled list.
Yankees organization signs Mike Lamb and assigns him to AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Yankees organization (AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre) activates Carlos Silva from the disabled list.
Yankees organization signs Terry Tiffee and assigns him to AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Oakland places Grant Balfour on the fifteen day disabled list.
Philadelphia unconditionally releases J. C. Romero.
St. Louis assigns Nick Punto to AA Springfield for rehab.
San Diego activates Orlando Hudson from the disabled list.
San Diego organization (AAA Tucson) places Bobby Kielty on the seven day disabled list.
San Diego organization sends Bobby Kielty from AAA Tucson to AA San Antonio.
Seattle organization (AAA Tacoma) places Luis Rodriguez on the seven day disabled list.
Toronto organization (AAA Las Vegas) places Sean Henn on the seven day disabled list, then activates him.
Washington signs J. C. Romero and assigns him to AAA Syracuse.

NFL quarterbacks John Elway and Jay Schroeder each played minor league baseball.  Elway hit .318 in 151 at-bats as an outfielder for Class A Oneonta in 1982.  Schroeder was primarily an outfielder for four years in the Toronto system, never getting higher than Class A.  He hit .213 with 36 homers in 1,304 minor league at-bats.
