Minor Details: Games of June 19 and standings

FCL ORIOLES1 1, FCL TWINS 0 AT ORIOLES

The game's lone run scored in the eighth on a single and three errors.

The Twins had five hits, but no one had more than one.

John Klein struck out three in three shutout innings, giving up one hit and one walk.
Owen Griffith pitched two shutout innings, giving up three hits.
Jeferson Lopez pitched three innings, giving up an unearned run on three hits and striking out two.

DSL TWINS 9, DSL MARINERS 2 AT MARINERS

The Twins scored five in the first on three singles, an error, three walks, and a wild pitch.  For the game they had nine runs on five hits eleven walks, and three hit batsmen.

Starter Ledwin Taveras pitched three innings, giving up two runs on four hits and striking out five.
Eduardo Soriano struck out eleven in five shutout innings, giving up one hit.
Jose Ojo struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up a hit and a walk.

WHERE THEY STAND

St. Paul is 40-28, in first place in the International League West, a half game ahead of Iowa.
Wichita is 27-35, in fourth place in the Texas League North, 12.5 games behind Arkansas and Tulsa.  They are 3.5 games behind third-place Springfield.
Cedar Rapids is 37-26 and has clinched first place for the first half.  They are six games ahead of Peoria and Quad Cities.
Fort Myers is 32-31, in third place in the Florida State League West, 10.5 games behind Clearwater.  They are two games behind second-place Bradenton.
The FCL Twins are 5-5, tied for second in the FCL South with the Red Sox.  They are 3.5 games behind the Pirates.
The DSL Twins are 3-8, in eight place in the DSL South, five games behind the Phillies White.  They are a half-game behind the seventh-place Cardinals.

It was 1-1 after nine.  St. Paul scored seven in the tenth.

Matt Wallner hit a home run, his eighth.

David Festa pitched 4.1 innings, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks and striking out seven.

KERNELS 3, CUBS 1 IN CEDAR RAPIDS

Cedar Rapids scored two in the fourth to take a 2-1 lead.

Misael Urbina was 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Starter Marco Raya struck out six in three innings, giving up one run on two hits.
Zebby Matthews pitched six shutout innings, giving up five hits and striking out four.

MARAUDERS 6, MIGHTY MUSSELS 1 IN BRADENTON

Rodolfo Nolasco opened the scoring with a three-run homer in the fourth and Bradenton added three more in the fifth.

Jorel Ortega was 3-for-4 with a double.  It was his twenty-second double, which leads the league by five.

Jose Olivares pitched 4.1 innings, allowing four runs on two hits and four walks and striking out seven.  Three of the Twins' starters pitched exactly 4.1 innings.
Ricky Mineo struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up a hit and a walk.
Jackson Hicks struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up a walk.

FCL TWINS 12, FCL RED SOX 11 AT RED SOX (7 INNINGS)

The Twins trailed 8-3 after four and 11-7 after five.  Jose Rodriguez hit a three-run homer in the seventh to put the Twins ahead to stay.

Anderson Nova was 2-for-2 with two doubles, two walks, and two RBIs.
Rodriguez was 2-for-3 with a three-run homer, a walk, and two runs.
Bryan Acuna was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.  Yes, he is the brother of Ronald Acuna, Jr.

Starter Brayan Medina pitched 3.1 innings, allowing seven runs (six earned) on seven hits and two walks and striking out one.
Matt Gabbart retired all four men he faced, striking out three.

The box score did not reveal why the game only went seven innings.

The Twins scored five in the first and never trailed.

Louisville scored in four of the first five innings, building a 5-1 lead.

Andrew Stevenson was 2-for-4 with a home run (his fifth), a triple, and two runs.

Chris Williams hit a home run, his thirteenth and his sixth in three games.

Starter Cody Laweryson pitched three innings, giving up two runs on two hits and a walk and striking out two.

ROCKHOUNDS 8, WIND SURGE 7 IN MIDLAND

Wichita led 6-1 and 7-2, but Midland tied it in the eighth and two errors in the ninth led to the winning run.

It was 3-3 after nine.  Each team scored once in the tenth and eleventh.  Ernie Yake singled home the winning run.

Three Astros errors led to two Twins runs in the top of the tenth and the first DSL Twins win of the season.

DSL PHILLIES RED 4, DSL TWINS 3 AT PHILLIES RED

The Phillies Red scored two in the eighth to take a 4-3 lead.  The go-ahead run scored on an error.

Adrian Bohorquez struck out nine in three innings, giving up one run on three hits and a walk.
Oscar Paredes pitched a perfect inning.

The Twins used six pitchers.  Two of them only faced one batter.
