Vampire Weekend – Diane Young
Thanks to the powers that be for letting me spin one extra track.
Anyway, we've been singing the bridge to this song around the house the past month or two (starting around the 45-second mark). Without even connecting the dots, Sheenie suggested Diane as a girl's name she really likes.

The National – Fake Empire
This song goes out to Coach K. Maybe instead of tearing others down, you should work on winning a few games. On the bright side, Tyus Jones looks to be an admirable young man since he's choosing to go to a rebuilding program rather than more local one that recently won a tourney game like NDSU.

Foo Fighters – Next Year
Well, the tournament didn't go the way I hoped.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis – And We Danced (NSFW)
Let's see...
1. This has long been my favorite Macklemore song from way back when Sheenie and I would catch him at the Entry with about 150 people.
2. This is performed at GW.
3. GW's dancing today!
DANCE! DANCE! DANCE!

VCU Pep Band – Wrecking Ball
It's the most wonderful time... of the year!
When VCU and George Mason both joined the A10, I had no idea that the conference was adding two of the best bands in basketball.

Pete Seeger and Johnny Cash – “Worried Man Blues”
The two chat for a few minutes before Seeger starts the singalong about four minutes in. I'm reminded of a joke:
Q: How do you find perfect pitch?
>A: You throw a banjo into a dumpster and it hits an accordion.

Dumpstaphunk – One Nation Under a Groove
When Sheenie and I were in NOLA for JazzFest last year, we went to this show late one night that weekend. Dumpstaphunk covered Parliament all night, then two other bands (I want to say Rebirth was one of them) covered James Brown and Michael Jackson. Sheenie and I left at 3:00am and one of the bands still hadn't even taken the stage. I guess that's New Orleans for you. At one point, I walked to the bar and bumped into John Mayer taking it all in.

Bloc Party – Helicopter
Since Grumpy Old Bob Collins seems to have discontinued the Monday Morning Rousers, here's one to get your foot tapping at work.

Nicole Atkins – “Girl You Look Amazing”
Hey guys, it's Mags. Today and tomorrow I'm sharing an artist each that I heard for the first time at SXSW. Today is Nicole Atkins. She went on at like 6:30 in the morning on Thursday before The Hold Steady. My friend and I agreed Nicole was our favorite artist of the morning.
"Girl You Look Amazing" starts around 7:15, which she played on Thursday and was in my head most of the rest of the day.
