Dressy Bessy – “Live to Tell All”
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F03anIQNoFo
Dressy Bessy is one of the many offshoot bands on the Elephant 6 family tree. John, the guitarist, also plays in Apples in Stereo. I found out about both bands from the incredible Heroes & Villains compilation inspired by the Powerpuff Girls. Really. Anyway, this is one of my favorite Dressy Bessy songs. I hope you all enjoy.
PS: Tammy Ealom is adorable, isn't she?

Feeder – Piece by Piece
Greetings Citizens. Be forewarned, my tastes - although they do encompass a wide assortment of genres - are fairly pedestrian when compared to the great variety displayed weekly by hitman and jobu (and others). The videos this week may not push many boundaries or broaden many horizons musically, but its music I like and I had a blast putting it all together. Enjoy. Or don't...
First up is Feeder, a run-of-the-mill British alternative/grunge band. I like most of their catalogue, but I love this song.

Enjoy your week off boys.
Vader – Revelation of Black Moses
Thanks for putting up with my tastes all week. I figure a fitting end to cheaptoy week would involve some cookie monster vocals.
Behold! The Eagles of death metal! (or at least, the inspiration for the name of that band.)

Epica – Our Destiny
A band already introduced to the Nation.

Overkill – Horrorscope
This is your horrorscope. \m/

Death – Crystal Mountain
Ahhh, Death. Founders of a genre. Their last two albums were terrific, some of the best music I've ever heard. Sadly, Chuck Schuldiner, founder of the band and lead guitarist and vocalist, died of a brain tumor in 2001 while working on a project with similar musical style but a more traditional vocalist.

Iron Maiden – The Phantom of the Opera
It wouldn't seem right to have a cheaptoy week and not play some Iron Maiden.

For fun, the same song as sung by original lead singer Paul Di'anno after the jump.
Symphony X – Set the World on Fire
After yesterday's vocal quality disaster (although I felt the band was pretty tight, at least.) I made sure to listen to this one all the way through. The sound quality isn't the greatest, but the performance is far better.
Anyway, all that anyone really needs to take away from this is that Russell Allen and Michael Romeo are awesome.
