ST. PAUL SAINTS 3, COLUMBUS CLIPPERS 2 IN COLUMBUS (10 INNINGS)

Finally able to get a game in, the Saints decided to play a little extra to make it worth their while.  Petey Halpin singles home a run in the second and Will Brennan homered in the third to make it 2-0 Columbus.  But our own Will, Will Holland, homered in the fifth to get St. Paul on the board and Mike Ford singled home a run in the sixth to tie it 2-2.  It stayed there until the tenth, when a sacrifice fly plated Manfred Man Anthony Prato.  Columbus was retired in order in the bottom of the inning and the good guys won.  Columbus has twelve hits, but stranded thirteen and went 1-for-12 with men in scoring position.

INDIANAPOLIS INDIANS 6, ST. PAUL SAINTS 5 IN ST. PAUL

Aided by three walks, Indianapolis put up a three-spot in the first inning.  Undaunted, St. Paul tied it with three in the second, as Patrick Winkel hit a two-run homer and Anthony Prato followed with a solo shot.  They took the lead in the fourth when Carson McCusker singled and later scored on a ground out.  The lead was short-lived, however, as Indianapolis scored another three in the fifth.  They were once again aided by walks, two of them this time, plus a wild pitch.  Jeferson Morales singled home a run in the fifth to cut the margin to 6-5, but that was as close as the Saints would come.  They got the tying run to third in the seventh and Prato hit a leadoff double in the ninth, but it was for naught.  St. Paul was 1-for-13 with men in scoring position.
