ST. PAUL SAINTS 3, IOWA CUBS 1 IN IOWA

It was 1-1 through eight, as Mickey Gasper singled home a run in the third and Iowa tied the score in the sixth.  Will Holland hit a two-run homer in the ninth to win it for St. Paul.

Batters:  Will Holland was 2-for-3 with a two-run homer (his third), a walk, and two runs.  Mike Ford was 2-for-4 with a double.

Pitchers:  Andrew Morris struck out eight in five innings, giving up four hits and a walk.  Randy Dobnak struck out three in two innings, giving up an unearned run on a hit and a walk.  Kyle Bischoff pitched a perfect inning, striking out one.  Richard Lovelady pitched a perfect inning, striking out one.

Opponents:  Jordan Wicks pitched five innings, giving up one run on four hits and a walk and striking out three.

WICHITA WIND SURGE 15, ARKANSAS TRAVELERS 7 IN WICHITA

Wichita scored three in the first and one in the third to take a 4-0 lead.  Arkansas came back, scoring one in the fourth and getting a two-run double from Jared Sundstrom in a three-run fifth to tie it 4-4.  Wichita then took control of the game in the bottom of the fifth, scoring a touchdown plus the extra point.  Tanner Schobel hit a three-run double and Kyler Fedco hit a two-run homer in a seven-run inning that put the game out of reach.  The lead went to 14-4 before Arkansas put up three in the eighth to make the final score look a little better

Batters:  Jorel Ortega was 3-for-5 with two home runs (his fourth and fifth), three runs, and four RBIs.  Tanner Schobel was 3-for-5 with a double, two runs, and three RBIs.  Kala'i Rosario was 3-for-6 with two doubles, three runs, and three RBIs.  Rubel Cespedes was 3-for-6 with a double and a run.  Kyler Fedco was 2-for-5 with a two-run homer (his eighth) and a walk.  Tyler Dearden was 2-for-5 with a run and two RBIs.

Pitchers:  Trent Baker struck out four in four innings, giving up one run on four hits and no walks.  Joel Cesar pitched a scoreless inning, striking out one and walking one.  Cody Laweryson struck out the side in a perfect inning.

Ian Petrutz hit a two-run homer in a four-run first that put Peoria in control of the game early.  It was 5-0 when Cedar Rapids finally scored on a double by Brandon Winokur in the eighth.  Peoria added two more in the ninth.

Batters:  None.  Cedar Rapids had five hits.

Pitchers:  Chase Chaney settled down after the first, pitching five innings and giving up five runs on nine hits and a walk and striking out three.  Eston Stull pitched a perfect inning, striking out one.  Gabriel Yanez struck out five in two perfect innings.

Opponents:  Jon Jon Gazdar was 3-for-5 with an RBI.  Brayden Jobert was 2-for-4 with a home run (his second) and two runs.  Won-Bin Cho was 2-for-4 with a double, a run, and two RBIs.  Joshua Baez was 2-for-4 with a double, a run, and an RBI.  Ian Petrutz hit a two-run homer.  Chen-Wei Lin struck out six in three innings, giving up no hits and one walk.  Tanner Jacobson struck out four in two shutout innings, giving up one hit and two walks.  Benjamin Arias pitched 3.1 innings, giving up an unearned run on four hits and a walk and striking out two.

FORT MYERS MIGHTY MUSSELS 8, JUPITER HAMMERHEADS 4 IN JUPITER

Dameury Pena hit a home run in a three-run first.  Jupiter scored single runs in the first and third to cut the lead to 3-2, but Fort Myers put up another three-spot in the fifth.  Jupiter got two back in the sixth to cut the margin to 6-4, but that was as close as they would get.  Fort Myers scored single runs in the seventh and eighth.

Batters:  Rayne Doncon was 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs.  Daniel Pena was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs, and two RBIs.  Dameury Pena hit a home run, his second.

Pitchers:  Jason Doktorczyk pitched 4.1 innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on three hits and three walks and striking out three.  Devin Kirby pitched two shutout innings, giving up two hits and a walk.

Opponents:  Dillon Head was 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI.  Julio Henriquez was 2-for-4 with a run.  Micah McDowell was 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI.

Stats:  Rayne Doncon, .500/1.183 OPS.  Peyton Eeles, .300.

IOWA CUBS 10, ST. PAUL SAINTS 9 IN IOWA

It looked good early.  Jair Camargo hit a two-run double in a four-run first.  Armando Alvarez homered in a three-run fourth, and it was 7-0 St. Paul.  Unfortunately, they play nine-inning games in the International League.  Iowa got one in the fourth, Kevin Alcantara hit a two-run single in the fifth, and Carlos Perez hit a two-run double in a four-run sixth that tied it 7-7.  Alcantara struck again in the eighth, hitting a two-run homer that gave the Cubs their first lead at 9-7.  St. Paul bounced back, as Will Holland hit a two-run single to tie it in the ninth.  But in the bottom of the ninth two walks and an error loaded the bases and Owen Caissie singled to end the game.

WICHITA WIND SURGE 11, ARKANSAS TRAVELERS 2 IN WICHITA

Victor Labrada led off the game with a homer.  Wichita scored two in the first, but Caleb Cali led off the second with a homer to tie it.  It stayed tied until the fifth, when Kyler Fedco hit a three-run homer.  They scored three more in the sixth and Andrew Cossetti hit a two-run homer in the seventh.  Tanner Schobel rounded out the scoring with a home run in the eighth.

Batters:  Kyler Fedco was 2-for-5 with a home run (his seventh), a double, two runs, and four RBIs.  Tanner Schobel was 2-for-5 with a home run (his fifth) and two RBIs.  Andrew Cossetti hit a two-run homer, his third.

Ryan Campos hit a two-run single in a three-run first.  Cedar Rapids came back to score two in the bottom of the first.  Graysen Tarlow homered in the second, but Khadim Diaw tripled and scored in the bottom of the second and the Kernels scored again in the third to tie it 4-4.  Peoria scored single runs in the fourth and sixth to take the lead.  A bases-loaded walk got one back in the bottom of the sixth, but Cedar Rapids left the bases loaded to still trail by one.  They had at least one man in scoring position in each of the last three innings, but could not push the tying run across.

Batters:  Kyle DeBarge was 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, and two runs.  Khadim Diaw was 2-for-4 with a triple and a run.

Pitchers:  Ty Langenberg pitched 3.2 innings, allowing five runs on seven hits and a walk and striking out three.  Wilker Reyes pitched 1.1 perfect innings.  Jacob Wosinski pitched three shutout innings, giving up two hits and striking out two.

It was scoreless until the sixth, when Jupiter scored three times.  Fort Myers tied it up when Jose Rodriguez hit a three-run homer in the eighth.  It stayed 3-3 through nine.  Each team scored once in the tenth.  Each team scored once in the eleventh.  Fort Myers scored once in the twelfth, and this time Jupiter couldn't answer.  None of the extra-inning runs were scored on a hit.  Four of them came home on sacrifice flies, and one on a throw to first after a missed third strike.

Batters:  Rayne Doncon was 2-for-4 with a double.  Yohander Martinez was 2-for-5.  Jose Rodriguez hit a three-run homer, his fourth.

Pitchers:  Dasan Hill pitched 2.2 scoreless innings, giving up no hits and two walks and striking out two.  Brennan Oxford struck out three in two innings, giving up an unearned run on no hits and no walks.  Ivran Romero struck out two in two innings, giving up an unearned run on no hits and one walk.

Opponents:  Carter Johnson was 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, a run, and two RBIs.  Walin Castillo pitched four shutout innings, giving up three hits and two walks and striking out three.

The Twins broke a 1-1 tie with a five-run fifth.  Jayson Bass had a two-run single-plus-error in the inning, which featured two errors, two hit batsmen, and three walks.

Batters:  Luis Fragoza was 2-for-4 with a double, a run, and an RBI.

Pitchers:  Joel Garcia pitched three innings, giving up one run on three hits and no walks and striking out three.  Hendry Chivilli struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up one hit.  Andrew Huffman struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up one hit.

Opponents:  Enddy Azocar was 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

IOWA CUBS 12, ST. PAUL SAINTS 7 IN IOWA

Edouard Julien started the game with a home run and Jose Miranda hit an RBI double to give St. Paul a 2-0 lead.  Iowa rebounded with four in the bottom of the first.  St. Paul got one back in the second, but Owen Caissie hit a three-run single-plus-error in the third to make it 7-3 Iowa.  St. Paul came back with four in the fourth on two-run homers by Mickey Gasper and Emmanuel Rodriguez.  From there, though, it was all Iowa.  Matt Shaw hit a two-run homer in the fifth and the Cubs scored single runs in the sixth, seventh, and eighth.

Batters:  Mike Ford was 2-for-5 with two doubles and a run.  Patrick Winkel was 2-for-5.  Edouard Julien was 1-for-2 with a home run, three walks, and two runs.  Mickey Gasper hit a two-run homer, his seventh.  Emmanuel Rodriguez hit a two-run homer, his third.

Pitchers:  Starter Tyler Beede lasted just 1.2 innings, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks and striking out two.

Jared Sundstrom hit a two-run homer in the top of the third to give Arkansas a 3-0 lead.  Ricardo Olivar hit a two-run double in a three-run third to tie the score.  Arkansas scored one in the fourth and Caleb Cali hit a two-run homer in the sixth to put the Travelers up 6-3.  Kyler Fedco homered in the bottom of the sixth, but Arkansas scored four in the eighth to put the game out of reach.

Batters:  Oddly, all nine Wind Surge batters had exactly one hit.  Kyler Fedco hit a home run, his sixth.

Pitchers:  Ricky Castro pitched 3.1 innings, giving up four runs on seven hits and no walks and striking out four.  John Stankiewicz struck out four and walked two in two shutout innings.

Kaelen Culpepper hit a three-run homer in a four-run third to give Cedar Rapids a 4-0 lead.  Peoria scored two in the fifth, but Cedar Rapids came back with eight in the bottom of the fifth to put it out of reach.  Brandon Winokur hit a two-run homer, Jaime Ferrer hit a three-run homer, and Culpepper hit his second homer of the game in the inning.

Batters:  Kaelen Culpepper was 4-for-5 with two home runs (his third and fourth), three runs, and four RBIs.  Jaime Ferrer was 2-for-3 with a three-run homer and two runs.  Danny De Andrade was 2-for-3 with a run.  Brandon Winokur was 2-for-5 with a two-run homer.

Pitchers:  Jeremy Lee pitched five innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on five hits and one walk and striking out three.  Kade Bragg struck out six in four shutout innings, giving up one hit.

Jupiter scored three in the third, helped by three walks (two with the bases loaded), a balk, and a hit batsman.  Yasser Mercedes homered in the fourth to get Fort Myers on the board, but Jupiter got the run back in the fifth.  Fort Myers then scored one in the sixth and three in the seventh, with a two-run single by Daniel Pena putting the Mussels ahead 5-4.  Damuery Pena hit a two-run single in the eighth and Maddux Houghton hit a two-run homer in the ninth.

Batters:  Jefferson Valladares was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs.  Yasser Mercedes was 2-for-5 with a home run (his third) and two runs.  Dameury Pena was 2-for-5 with two RBIs.  Daniel Pena was 2-for-5 with two RBIs.  Maddux Houghton hit a two-run homer, his second.

The Red Sox scored one in the first, two in the second, and one in the fourth to build a 4-0 lead.  The Twins scored single runs in the fifth and sixth to cut the lead in half, but the Red Sox scored one more in the seventh and the Twins had no answer.

Batters:  No Twins had more than one hit.

Pitchers:  Matt Gabbert struck out four in three innings, but allowed three runs on six hits and a walk.  Christian Becerra pitched two innings, giving up an unearned run on two hits.

Opponents:  Gerardo Rodriguez was 3-for-4 with two RBIs.  Avinson Pinto was 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs, and an RBI.  Enddy Azocar was 2-for-4 with a double, a run, and an RBI.  Yhoiker Fajardo pitched four shutout innings, giving up two hits and striking out two.

IOWA CUBS 8, ST. PAUL SAINTS 2 IN IOWA (GAME 1)

James Triantos hit a three-run double in the first, and Iowa added four more in the fourth to take a 7-0 lead.  Jair Camargo hit a two-run homer in the fifth for the only St. Paul runs.

Batters:  Carson McCusker was 3-for-3.  Jair Camargo hit a two-run homer, his second.

Pitchers:  Starter Marco Raya pitched 2.2 innings, allowing three runs on three hits and five walks and striking out two.

Opponents:  Carlos Perez was 3-for-4 with a home run (his fourth), two runs, and two RBIs.  James Triantos was 2-for-3 with a double and four RBIs.  Connor Noland struck out eight in six innings, giving up two runs on six hits and two walks.

IOWA CUBS 8, ST. PAUL SAINTS 7 IN IOWA (GAME 2--8 INNINGS)

It looked good for quite a while.  St. Paul scored two in the second to take a 2-1 lead, they added two in the fourth to make it 4-1, and scored one more in the seventh to take a 5-1 lead.  All they had to do was get three outs before Iowa scored four runs.  Unfortunately, they couldn't do it.  Two doubles, a two-run homer by Reese McGuire, and a solo shot by Carlos Perez tied the score.  Undaunted, Mickey Gasper delivered a two-run double in the eighth to put St. Paul up 7-5.  But then they were daunted again, as Chase Strumpf hit a two-run homer to tie it and Matt Shaw hit a walkoff homer for Iowa.

Gabriel Gonzalez hit a two-run homer in the first to put Cedar Rapids up 2-0.  Brayden Jobert hit a three-run homer in a four-run third to give Peoria a 4-2 advantage.  In the bottom of the third, Brandon Winokur and Gonzalez hit two-run doubles and Khadim Diaw hit a two-run homer to give Cedar Rapids an 8-4 lead.  They scored one in the fourth and then had a second six-run inning in the fifth to put the game out of reach.  Diaw hit his second homer and Kyle DeBarge had a two-run double in the inning.

Fort Myers scored in each of the first two innings to take a 2-0 lead, but Jupiter responded with two Abe Lincoln innings to lead 8-3 after five.  Jessada Brown hit a two-run homer in the fifth.  They scored three more in the sixth, and it was all over but the shouting.  By the time Fort Myers scored its final run in the ninth, even the shouting had died down.

Batters:  Maddux Houghton was 2-for-3 with a triple, two walks, and three runs.  Peyton Eeles made his season debut, going 2-for-3 with a run.  Miguel Briceno was 2-for-4 with a walk, a run, and an RBI.

Pitchers:  Starter Michael Carpenter struck out three in three innings, but allowed four runs on six hits and no walks.  Devin Kirby pitched a perfect inning, striking out one.

IOWA CUBS 10, ST. PAUL SAINTS 5 IN IOWA

Iowa had two Abe Lincoln innings (four score) to take the game.  Three walks and three singles plated four Iowa runs in the fourth to give the Cubs a 5-0 lead.  St. Paul got two in the fifth, but Iowa scored four more in the top of the fifth to go up 9-2.

Batters:  Ryan Fitzgerald was 4-for-5 with two doubles, a walk, a run, and two RBIs.  Will Holland was 2-for-3 with a run.  Patrick Winkel was 2-for-5 with a run.

WICHITA WIND SURGE 11, ARKANSAS TRAVELERS 9 IN WICHITA

Ricardo Olivar hit a three-run homer in the third to give Wichita a 4-2 lead.  Arkansas tied it 4-4 in the fifth, but Jorel Ortega hit a two-run single to make it 6-4 in the sixth.  Arkansas got one back in the top of the seventh, but Ortega hit a two-run homer in a four-run Wichita seventh to take a 10-5 lead.  Arkansas scored four in the eighth to get back into it, but Kyler Fedco singled home an insurance run in the bottom of the eighth.  Arkansas loaded the bases with one out in the ninth, but getting out of the jam was as easy as 1-2-3, as a pitcher-to-catcher-to-first double play ended the game.

Peoria scored four in the first to take the early lead.  Gabriel Gonzalez homered in the fourth to put Cedar Rapids on the board.  It was 5-2 going to the bottom of the sixth, but Danny De Andrade hit a two-run homer to cut the lead to 5-4 and Nate Baez delivered an RBI single in the eighth to tie it 5-5.  Neither team scored in the tenth, but Trey Paige hit a two-run homer in the top of the eleventh.  Cedar Rapids got one back, but could not advance the tying run past first base.

Fort Myers scored two in the first to take the lead.  It was 3-1 after five, but Yeral Martinez hit a two-run double in the sixth to tie it 3-3.  That was all the scoring until the tenth, when Yasser Martinez, as the Manfred Man, stole third and scored on a wild pitch.  Jupiter got their Manfred Man to third with one out, but he was thrown out at the plate trying to score on a grounder to short.

Batters:  No Mussel had more than one hit.

Pitchers:  Starter Michael Ross pitched three innings, giving up one run on three hits and two walks and striking out two.  Zander Sechrist pitched two shutout innings, giving up one hit and striking out one.  Brennan Oxford struck out two in 1.2 scoreless innings, giving up a hit and a walk.  Hunter Hoopes struck out two in 1.1 perfect innings.

ST. PAUL SAINTS 8, BUFFALO BISONS 7 IN ST. PAUL

Will Wagner hit a two-run single in the third to put Buffalo up 2-0.  Will Holland doubled home a run in the fourth and the Saints scored two in the fifth to go up 3-2.  The lead lasted until the next half-inning, when Joey Loperfido hit a two-run single to make it 4-3.  That lead also lasted until the next half-inning, when Edouard Julien hit a two-run single-plus-error to give St. Paul a 5-4 lead.  In the eighth, homers by Loperfido and Davis Schneider put Buffalo back in front 7-5.  Not to worry, because Mike Ford hit a three-run homer in the ninth to give the Saints a walkoff victory!

Rubel Cespedes hit a two-run homer in the first and Wichita scored two in the second to take a 4-0 lead.  It stayed 4-0 through six, and it was looking good.  But Gavin Cross hit a two-run homer in the seventh and did it again in the ninth, tying the score.  A bases-loaded walk scored on for Wichita in the tenth, but Carter Jensen delivered a two-run single in the bottom of the tenth to walk it off for Northwest Arkansas.

Batters:  Tanner Schobel was 4-for-6 with a double, two runs, and an RBI.  Rubel Cespedes was 3-for-4 with a home run (his third), a double, two walks, and three RBIs.  Ben Ross was 2-for-5 with a walk and an RBI.  Kala'i Rosario was 2-for-6 with an RBI.

Danny De Andrade doubled home a run in the first and Cedar Rapids scored three in the second on three hit batsmen, two walks, and a wild pitch to go ahead 4-0.  Beloit scored two in the bottom of the second, but Cedar Rapids scored one in the third on three more walks and another hit batsman.  But Jay Beshears hit a two-run double in the third and homered in the fifth to tie it 5-5.  There was no more scoring until the eighth, when a walk, a passed ball, and a De Andrade RBI single produced the game-winner for Cedar Rapids.

Batters:  Danny De Andrade was 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs.  Kyle DeBarge was 2-for-5 with two runs.  Jaime Ferrer was 0-for-2 but was hit by pitches three times.

Homers by Jean Joseph and Sam Shaw gave Dunedin a 3-1 lead in the third.  Yasser Mercedes hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the third to tie it 3-3.  But it was all Dunedin after that.  Joseph singled home a run in the fourth to make it 4-3.  It stayed close until the eighth, when Dunedin scored three more to put the game out of reach.

Batters:  Yasser Mercedes hit a two-run homer, his second.  Fort Myers had only two hits.

Pitchers:  Adrian Bohorquez struck out five in three innings, but allowed four runs on three hits and two walks.

ST. PAUL SAINTS 3, COLUMBUS CLIPPERS 2 IN COLUMBUS (10 INNINGS)

Finally able to get a game in, the Saints decided to play a little extra to make it worth their while.  Petey Halpin singles home a run in the second and Will Brennan homered in the third to make it 2-0 Columbus.  But our own Will, Will Holland, homered in the fifth to get St. Paul on the board and Mike Ford singled home a run in the sixth to tie it 2-2.  It stayed there until the tenth, when a sacrifice fly plated Manfred Man Anthony Prato.  Columbus was retired in order in the bottom of the inning and the good guys won.  Columbus has twelve hits, but stranded thirteen and went 1-for-12 with men in scoring position.

Batters:  Ryan Fitzgerald was 2-for-4.  Will Holland hit a home run.

Carter Trice put the Cubs ahead in a trice, delivering a first-inning RBI single.  Kaelen Culpepper homered in the third to tie it 1-1 and Kevin Maitan doubled home a run in the fourth to give Cedar Rapids the lead.  The Kernels then scored five in the fifth on six singles to take control of the game.  Jose Salas hit a two-run double in the eighth.

TAMPA TARPONS 12, FORT MYERS MIGHTY MUSSELS 4 IN TAMPA

It started well.  Fort Myers took a 4-0 lead in the second on two-run homers by Miguel Briceno and Jefferson Valladares.  But Tampa matched them with a four-run third, took the lead with two in the fourth, added one more in the fifth, and put the game out of reach with a five-run seventh.  Each team made four errors, but Fort Myers went 2-for-17 with men in scoring position.  Twins Baseball!

Batters:  Jay Thomason was 2-for-5 with two doubles and a run.  Miguel Briceno was 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk.  Jefferson Valladares was 1-for-4 with a two-run homer.

Pitchers:  Starter Dylan Questad struck out five in three innings, but allowed four runs on six hits and a walk.  Xavier Kolhasser struck out three in a scoreless inning, giving up one hit.

ST. PAUL SAINTS 6, COLUMBUS CLIPPERS 4 IN COLUMBUS (GAME 1–5 INNINGS)

Jeferson Morales hit a two-run homer in the first.  It was 3-1 after two, but Columbus got three in the third to take a 4-3 lead.  Not to worry, though, as Mike Ford led off the fourth with a homer to tie it.  Morales struck again in the fifth, again leading off the inning with a home run, and Anthony Prato had an RBI single for an insurance run.  Rain came in the top of the sixth, and the game was over with a Saints win.

Batters:  Mike Ford was 2-for-2 with a home run (his sixth), a walk, and two runs.  Jeferson Morales was 2-for-3 with two home runs (his third and fourth) and three RBIs.

Pitchers:  Marco Raya pitched three innings, allowing four runs on three hits and five walks.  Travis Adams struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up three hits.

FRISCO ROUGHRIDERS 3, WICHITA WIND SURGE 2 IN FRISCO

Abimelec Ortiz hit a two-run homer in the third to give Frisco a 2-0 lead.  Noah Cardenas singled home a run in the fourth to get Wichita on the board, but Frisco got the run back in the fifth.  Jake Rucker singled home a run in the sixth to again cut the margin to one.  Wichita had the bases loaded with one out, but a line drive double play ended the inning.  They would again get a man into scoring position with one out in the eighth, but a pair of fly outs ended the inning.  Wichita had thirteen hits, but only two runs.  They stranded ten and went 2-for-9 with men in scoring position.  Twins baseball!

Batters:  Ben Ross was 3-for-4 with a double.  Ricardo Olivar was 3-for-5.  Kala’i Rosario was 2-for-4 with a run.

Pitchers:  Connor Prielipp pitched 2.2 innings, giving up two runs on five hits and a walk.  Aaron Rozek struck out five in 4.1 innings, giving up one run on four hits and no walks.  Cody Laweryson struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up one hit.

South Bend scored two in the first and two in the second to take a 4-0 lead.  Kyle DeBarge hit a two-run homer in the third to cut the lead in half.  But South Bend added two more in the fifth and one in the seventh to go up 7-2.  An error gave Cedar Rapids two in the eighth, but that was as close as they could come.

St. Paul trailed 4-0 after two, but came back to tie it in the sixth.  Ryan Fitzgerald singled home the deciding run in the eleventh.  Fitzgerald was 2-for-5 with a double, a walk, and two runs.  Mike Ford was 2-for-5 with a home run (his fifth) and two RBIs.  Patrick Winkel was 2-for-5.  Andrew Morris struck out five in four innings, giving up four runs on six hits and a walk.  Kody Funderburk struck out three in two innings, giving up an unearned run on two hits.  Anthony Misiewicz pitched a perfect inning.

ST. PAUL SAINTS 5, INDIANAPOLIS INDIANS 3 IN ST. PAUL

Carson McCusker hit a two-run double in the first inning to give St. Paul the early lead.  A sacrifice fly made it 3-0 after two.  It stayed there until the fifth, when Nick Yorke got Indianapolis on the board with a two-run single.  Mike Ford singled home a run in the seventh to make it 4-2, but Indianapolis responded with a pinch-hit home run by Nick Solak in the eighth to cut the lead to one again.  Ryan Fitzgerald doubled home a run in the bottom of the eighth, however, and this time Indianapolis had no answer.  They did get the tying run up to bat with one out in the ninth, but their last two men went out.

Batters:  Royce Lewis was 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI.  Anthony Prato was 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs.  Ryan Fitzgerald was 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, a run, and an RBI.  Carson McCusker was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.  Jeferson Morales was 2-for-5.

Jeremy Rivas hit a three-run homer in the first to put Springfield up early.  Wichita tied it in the third on a bases-loaded walk and a two-run single by Rubel Cespedes.  An RBI single and a sacrifice fly in the fourth put Springfield back in front 5-3.  Andrew Cossetti homered in the bottom of the fourth to cut the lead to 5-4.  From there, however, it was all Springfield.  Ramon Mendoza homered in a two-run sixth, Miguel Ugueto hit a two-run homer in a four-run seventh, and Carlos Linares singled home a run in the ninth.

Batters:  Tanner Schobel was 3-for-5.  Kala'i Rosario was 2-for-4 with a walk.  Andrew Cossetti was 1-for-3 with a home run and a walk.  Rubel Cespedes was 1-for-4 with two RBIs.

Pitchers:  Starter Ricky Castro struck out three and walked three in three innings, giving up three runs on three hits.  That's a lot of threes.

Danny De Andrade homered in the second to put Cedar Rapids on the board, but a sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth tied it 1-1.  In the bottom of the fifth, however, Kaelen Culpepper hit a three-run homer to put Cedar Rapids in the lead to stay.  A ground out scored a run in the seventh, and Culpepper hit a two-run single in a three-run eighth that sealed the victory.

Batters:  Kevin Maitan was 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs.  Kaelen Culpepper was 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk, and five RBIs.  Danny De Andrade was 1-for-3 with a home run, a walk, and two runs.  Kyle DeBarge stole his eleventh base.

Fort Myers scored early and often, getting all ten runs in the first three innings.  Three of them came in the first, as Byron Chourio led off the game with a triple, Jose Salas followed with an RBI single, and Jay Thomason followed that with a three-run homer.  A wild pitch and a sacrifice fly brought home two in the second.  Clearwater got their lone run in the bottom of the second on a Raider Tello homer, but Fort Myers responded with five in the third.  Maddux Houghton singled home one, and later in the inning Salas hit a grand slam.  Three Fort Myers pitchers took it from there, limiting Clearwater to just four hits for the game.

Batters:  Jose Salas was 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and six RBIs.  Poncho Ruiz was 2-for-5.  Jay Thomason was 1-for-3 with a two-run homer (his fifth) and two walks.
