FCL RAYS 7, FCL TWINS 5 AT TWINS

It was 7-2 before the Twins scored three in the ninth.  The Twins had the bases loaded with two out, but a force out ended the game.

Multi-hit games:  Yasser Mercedes was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs.  Daniel Pena was 2-for-4 with a home run.  Hendry Chivilli was 2-for-4 with a double.

The Cardinals broke a 1-1 tie with five runs in the fifth.  Fecundo Velasquez hit a three-run homer and Edward Guribe hit a two-run homer.

Pitching prowess:  Leonardo Rondon struck out six in four innings, giving up one run on three hits and a walk.  Eudy Garcia pitched 2.2 innings, giving up an unearned run on two hits and four walks and striking out two.

Opposition standout:  Velasquez was 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs.

ST. PAUL SAINTS 3, LOUISVILLE BATS 2 IN LOUISVILLE

Austin Martin's RBI single in the seventh broke a 2-2 tie.

Multi-hit games:  Yunior Severino was 2-for-2 with two walks and two runs.  Brooks Lee was 2-for-4 with a double and a walk.  Martin was 2-for-5.

Pitching prowess:  Ronny Henriquez pitched 2.1 scoreless innings, giving up three hits and striking out two.  Kody Funderburk struck out three in two shutout innings, giving up two hits and a walk.

CEDAR RAPIDS KERNELS 15, LANSING LUGNUTS 7 IN LANSING

Cedar Rapids scored seven in the third to take a 7-3 lead.  Lansing cut it to 7-6, but the Kernels got three more in the fifth.

DSL TWINS 11, DSL PHILLIES WHITE 2 AT PHILLIES WHITE (7 INNINGS)

The Twins scored seven in the second and four in the fifth.  The Phillies White made four errors and issued eight walks.  The Twins did not have an extra-base hit.

Trailing 11-8, the Twins scored four in the seventh to win it.  Daiber De Los Santos singled in the deciding run.

Northwest Arkansas hit three solo homers in the third to take a 4-0 lead.
