July 3, 2011: On the Road

If all has gone as planned, I'm on the road to Fresno right now to begin about a week's worth of business before I return home. If you see me around the WGOM today, something's probably not right.

    1. Maybe this makes me a bad person, but I'm glad his choice to break the law didn't wind up costing taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical care.

  1. Does it make me unpatriotic if I dread 4th of July weekend and the effect jackasses and their fireworks have on my sleep?

    1. There is a burn ban here because we're living in a tinder box. A few weeks ago, a dude pulled off the highway to take a leak and his catalytic converter started a brush fire that engulfed more than 200 acres. So what do my neighbors do last night? Yeah, that's right, they decide to put on an amateur fireworks display. If my house burns down because someone needs to light a roman candle I'm not sure what I'll do. To answer your question the long way, no it does not make you unpatriotic.

    2. Some knuckleheads down the block have been lighting off firecrackers and bottle rockets since I got home this evening. If past performance holds, these dinks will be shooting them until 2AM the 6th.

  2. So, apparently FIFA still has some officiating problems
