So it turns out her brother, Matt, was the one committed to being one of the worst live performers of all time. Good to know.

The fairer part of the Fiery Furnaces, live in Toronto, 2011. Go buy her new solo album.
*memo to self*
Pick up her record.
Which reminds me, E have you picked up Cults? I think you will like.
I've heard a couple of the "hits". Pretty catchy stuff, but it treads so close to Best Coast and Dum Dum Girls that it might be redundant in my collection.
Definitely Best Coast. Not so much Dum Dum Girls IMHO.
I've got the Cults record but I don't have the albums from the other two. Which would of the two you suggest more?
They're both pretty good, though I might lean toward the Dum Dum Girls. If you like one, you'll like the other.
I disagree, free. I think the DDG and BC sound very much alike, to the point I often have to sneak a glance at the screen to see who is playing.
i gotta admit, i've got crazy for you, given it a few spins, and so far it's done nothing for me. i haven't heard anything that made it rise up above background noise.
Lyrically, it's emptier than a politician's promise, but I like it's sunny, top-down, cruisin' to the beach sound. Background noise with a purpose.
FWIW, the DDG's latest EP/single contains a bitching Smiths cover.

Woah, I forgot the gurl singer tag. Glad I caught that and added it.
This is a great tune. I love this chord progression.
i dunno. C maj, E min, C maj, E min, F maj, G maj, F maj, G maj, then a chorus of Cs, Fs, and Gs. nothing too crazy there.
I didn't say it was revolutionary, I just think it is nice.
