  1. Despite that nearly being a balk and being picked off, Gomez made the attempted stolen base rather close.

  2. How often is it you see a guy make a great play in the field, only to absolutely butcher the next routine ball hit to him?

      1. Going to the NLDS was awesome, but seeing that both Yuni and Bloomquist were in starting lineups for playoff teams filled me with thoughts of an impending apocalypse.

  3. Immediately after their set, Brian Roberts of HHT asks me, "Hey, do you have a phone? I need to know what the score is."
Their set went from 9:15-10pm CST. It must have been the "Rock Star" version of when I had to sit through a meeting during a 2006 ALDS game.

Unfortunately, I only have a dumb phone.
Or maybe that's fortunately, because otherwise I would have been at the House of Milk all night, rather than enjoying my solo night out.

I caught up with him again later, and he was much happier. "It's reminding me so much of 2006. I had this feeling back in Mid-September, when they started winning a few, that it's happening all over again." If there was a silent hashtag in there, he was subtly mocking me.

    1. Oh, and he told me I'd be welcome in Redbird Nation any time.
I told him that being a Twins fan for the past decade has been too easy, and it's time I pay my dues as a fan.
