December 26, 2011: Many Unhappy Returns

This morning, I'm right back in the store to deal with long lines of people returning items, and endless strings of kids with gift cards. It's been a good company to work for, but man, I'm glad this is almost over.

  1. I'm taking the family to the Blue Door for lunch today. The boy has been asking to go there since we saw them making Spam balls on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives a couple weeks ago.

    1. The only time I've been, I got a juicy lucy that was approximately twice as tall as my mouth.

  2. I will not be around forr the wolves tonight, I am dvring thoug really looking forward to the game, you guys.

  3. 29-31 at the line, Thunder? Really? Was that necessary?

Westbrook got away with a lot of elbows tonight, and it was still very close. The Wolves hung around with an extremely good team. I'm officially excited about them again.

  4. someone needs to tell Micheal Beasley there are more scoring options on this team...he was 11-27 tonight

I dont know too much about JJ Barea except he was with Dallas last year and he is shacked up with a Miss Universe, but he brought some toughness tonight

    and of course RUBIO!!!

I still stand by my prediction of 25+ wins for this team

    1. I can see this team challenging .500, for sure.

Barea was solid at every turn tonight. Quietly, he was probably the star of the game for the Wolves, despite no flash.

And...yeah. Beasley takes a lot of shots.

      1. not only a lot of shots, but probably 10 of them really bad shots, falling away from the rim or hard contested double team shots.

  5. SCB giveth/taketh away was exactly the thought I had at the end, too.

Fun game to watch, though, and Wolves excitement comes just in time, as the Wild continued to dance with the Regression Monster by dropping their seventh straight.

    1. at least the Wild showed signs of life for most of the game. Playing with only 5 defensemen for two period probably hurt a little

      1. That lines up with my anecdotal memory, but I never would have guessed that the numbers backed me up on how inconsistent his shooting was. Gross, indeed.
