Minnesota is a 1.5 point favorite on the road tonight. I know the nation may not be filled with gamblers but it doesn't take the wagering type to know that it isn't every day the Wolves are favored on the road.
Eric Gordon is out tonight for the Hornets. The Wolves will be without Beasley. So I figure that is about even. Or not.

NOLA is averaging .5 boards more per game than the Wolves. Let's see is Kevin Love close that gap a little bit tonight.

There are still a lot of improvements to be made but this team is a lot better than last season. Or at least it feels a lot better than a 3-7 team.
Tim Allen at Canis had an outstanding write up on Wes Johnson the other day. If you haven't take a look yet, I'd suggest doing so.
CH has really been good lately. I've been dropping in there every now and then for the last couple of years, but now that there's actually a coach and a team worth watching, they've been analyzing the crap out of everything. Pretty enjoyable.
Rubio is starting tonight and the game is not on FSN...sounds about right
Or at least it feels a lot better than a 3-7 team.
They've scored more points than they've allowed so far this season. (Not by much, but still, their point differential is better than most teams in the bottom half of the league by record.)
pregame reading: Kevin Love is going to buy a ticket to the game for you
I am thinking he is going to take that max contract
League Pass seems in no hurry to show this game. I wonder if they were relying on the FSN feed? I would be pretty bummed if there was no broadcast tonight.
Game is on, but without sound. This isn't always a bad thing.
Heh. It looks like Rubio did start tonight.... but so did Luke.
Chris Kaman is not handsome.
You mean Vigo the Carpathian?
VEEEGOOO!
It isn't often I LOL but when you try a Rubioop to Darko, well, that can only end one way.
Was that Rubio that tried that? I thought it was Wes.
A Wes to Darko Rubioop can only end one way.
Shame and a feeling of uncleanliness?
Yeah, Wes to Darko is a pass I'd like to limit as much as possible.
Also, Ridnour blows.
Anyone have a link?
Might.
It is nice to see that the free product has the audio feed while the League Pass does not today. Money well spent.
on that topic, the former AT Dat HE (whatever, don't care to mask anymore) doesn't seem to be working. a shame as FR.TV doesn't play well with my PS3...
OMG! Darko is completely terrible too.
He needs to show a little more...ummm...effort. Also, talent.
Free Pek!
Does he still play for us?
I think I saw him get a three second violation somewhere's, anyway.
Is the shading behind the LTEs still there or is it gone for everyone else (alternate white/gray w/ red for the author)?
That's what I see, yes.
Maybe it's this build of Chromium that doesn't recognize that code. No biggie. I just wondered if maybe it was related to the question about the ability to cancel LTEs in the CoC.
Oh yeah, you're running a fake OS. That is probably it.
I use Chrome and see it the same way.
Huh, to revisit this convo, when I refresh the page, the LTEs start out shaded appropriately then fade. Huh? Oh well, NBD.
The inability to cancel definitely isn't limited by browser. I'm going to blame this on today.
I don't know how the Wolves are only down 3 with the way they've been playing so far, but this is the longest I've seen the starters stay out there to begin a game.
spoiler alert
That was better than it could have been.
28% FGs? Yikes.
Exactly!
Randolph/Luke/Tolliver/Ellington/D Williams on the floor right now.
That should make for a fun FG %
I predict 110%.
I hope somebody somewhere got a screen shot of that Adelman facepalm.
I enjoyed it- glad it was featured prominently on the broadcast.
The NOLA broadcasters are using Friday the 13th as an excuse to use their Halloween Graphics/Soundboard tonight.
I do like the Honeybees-centric parts of the broadcast.
Okafor is embarassing the Wolves front line tonight.
To be fair, Randolph does look like a moron out there right now.
Sounds like a personal problem.
Sounds like a
personalpersonnel problem.Fortunately, the Hornets continue to let Kaman shoot.
That too.
Isn't Darko supposed to at least be good at defense. Why isn't he in the game?
As punishment for what he did on that attempted alley-oop, I suppose.
Huh. The Wolves have no business being down only 1 right now. This has been one sloppy game.
Ha! Look at that desperation three, and it's a one-point game. I'm not sure how that can be, but there it is.
Heh, when Ridnour shot that 3, my first instinct was to call him an idiot. I totally missed that the half was about to end. Sorry Luke.
(I still strongly dislike you as a basketball player, though.)
MN 100% on FT, 36% from 3PT range
NO 57% on FT, 0% from 3 PT range
There's why the game is so close, I'd guess. Sure feels like the Wolves should be getting blown off the court.
OK, I'm getting caught up on all the plaques. I need something to designate 10K. Just a really big star?
Here's my idea (one with small stars for comparison)
someone paying you to inflate the game log? 😛
I am bored outta my skull sitting here at my parents. If I can't hang out with people physically, why not stop into my friendly neighborhood local?
You can finish my spookymilk challenge submission while you're at it.
Luke shot that with 20 seconds left on the shot clock. Sure it went in, but. Well, I guess it doesn't matter since Minnesota is on a 9-0 run.
I didn't hate it. It was wide open. It's not like a Beasley shot where he'd take that 5 seconds into the shot clock with 2 defenders draped on him.
I just don't like shooting a mid range jumper with that much time on the clock. There has to be a better shot available.
Luke Ridinour is like Tony Batista in that everybody likes the results.
Nice start to 3Q. 🙂
It might be time to play Hackafor on the defensive end.
Love is a monster.
Did... did Darko just dunk?
With authority!
Jared Jack is a weird sounding name.
So is Jarrett Jack.
No, that's totally normal.
15 point for love this quarter. oofta!
OH MY GAWD, Rubio
Maybe we can hold the Hornets to fewer than 70 points. 🙂
Wow. Hornets getting frustrated.
You would too, if a no good, over-hyped rookie was kicking your ass.
These refs haven't impressed me this game- so, situation normal, I guess.
If the Wolves can get to 75 points, they should win this game.
56 points is the fewest points ever allowed by a Wolves team it happened in 2003. The Wolves won 73-56. belch.
I had to have watched that, but I don't remember it.
Jump ball?!
how did summers not foul out on that?
That was ridiculous. The refs have spent the entire second half calling everything against NO, and that's a jump ball. Alright then.
Wolves need to stop the bleeding here
This has taken a turn for the worse.
OFFS
i swear the NOH PbP guy sounds exactly like the wolves guy.
though he's a little more "animated".
Oh, absolutely. It's been messing with me all game long.
I don't even know what a travel looks like anymore.
Well, we made it to 75. Maybe we should go for 80 just to be safe.
I know that this team's still on the way up and all, and it's a process, but if this one slips away it's gonna hurt.
I like where you are going with that.
GOALTENDING!
Yeah, what the hell was that?
He practically reached up through the hoop to block that.
That was the most bullshit ever.
radio guy Al Horton said that should of been a goaltend...was he right?
*should have refreshed before posting
Emphatically.
I honestly have no idea how you miss that one. It was a Cuzzi-level eff-up.
yeeaaaahh, that kinda looked like goaltending...
As a rule if it hits the backboard first... nevermind.
So did no one tell the regular officials the strike was over, or sumthin?
Hack-a-Rubio 4TW!
Tolliver is being extra gritty down the stretch.
Is Tolliver the Nick Punto of the Wolves?
No, because in crunch time, Punto made his worst baserunning mistakes.
Remember that time he fell down between third and home?
"That time," he says.
Not to be confused with that other time.
I have this weird thing where I always assume my guys are going to miss free throws, but Love has pretty much turned me around on that.
I do that too. I assume my team will miss every FT and the opponents will make every one.
Max. Contract. Now.
PLEASE.
Love with a 30-15 game.
That's pretty good...I guess.
I can get used to this whole "finishing games" thing.
Good Lord, Dwight Howard missed 18 free throws yesterday?! That's hilarious.
he was a 42% FT shooter before that game
Killing my fantasy team's FT%, I'm telling you...
Hey, I made an offer.
Yeah, that offer looks much more acceptable to me now then it did then. Probably still wouldn't do it, but it was a much more fair offer than I thought at the time.
Its been a few days since I've put together a trade offer, so maybe I'll try again.
Yeah, but he made 21.
That's the best part...his percentage actually went up.
Tonight the free throws worked out in our favor. If you switch FT% and NOLA wins this game. Hopefully this is the start of a trend.
Villagers lose!
Oh wow. Yes.
Good game, guys. Ass slaps all around. I thought that one was getting away, but Lub wasn't havin' it.
I'm here to watch Miami-Denver. This ought to be really good.
Yeah, if Sour Cream actually gets to sleep here, I think I'll be doing the same.
Ty Lawson. It makes me want to cry.
Ty Lawson vs. Mario Chalmers
That, too. Hell, Mario Chalmers >> Jonny Flynn.
Gentlemen, may I present a completed Milestone Comment page. I even managed to work in Rhu_Ru's image into 30K. I hope y'all like 'em.
ha! very nice
That was my hardest task, followed closely by getting sean's wordy comments to fit.
And getting Beau's on there was a pain and a half, but so worth it.
I am amused that my 50k comment just about goes off the plaque. Good thing it was some deep analysis comment that had a thousand words.
HomerDome's was DONGER? Su-weet
This just in: Denver is good.
I missed the 6-0 Heat run to open, so I'm inclined to believe they're the best team ever. They're outclassing Miami in every area right now.
They totally won the 'Melo trade.
Yeah, they lost their one defensive liability to a team that had only defensive liabilities. I don't remember who wrote it, but I remember some writer talking about the "coup to get Carmelo" and how it had been a great thing for the Knicks, and it was already clear that the Knicks were imploding out of the playoffs while the Nuggets surged.
I watched the Knicks last night. They are freaking terrible.
Before they got Anthony, Amar'e was a force. Now, he's shooting jump shots! What? He's a legendary finisher, but that's all gone now.
I haven't had the misfortune to see the Knicks yet. I'm surprised to see they're as good as 6-5, but they're not the threat that New York was hoping they would be.
I'm not actually watching any basketball right now, but I just made a lebanon bologna sandwich (*mmm* sodium) and cracked a Schell's Dark from my sampler, so I'm set for the foreseeable future if y'all'll be around.
Bedtime for Bonzo here. Have a great weekend
Good first half.
Yeah, these aren't bad teams.
Magloire's free throws against the Pacers at the end of the game are hilarious.
