  1. Happy Easter all!
So, are the Twins mathematically eliminated yet? Or do we still have a chance because of the expanded playoffs?

    1. I thought this was going to be about the Miami Sound HR Machine.
The Marlins are gonna get you... tonight!

  2. I can already see tomorrow's baseball talking point: the MLB sucks because both the Yankees and Red Sox are 0-3. GLOOM AND DOOM AND NO ONE IS GOING TO WATCH !!!!one!!

  3. The only other Twins teams to start 0-3 are the 1969 Twins (division champs) and 1981 Twins (only 100-loss team), so in an extremely SSS, there is no evidence that the season is over.

The Twins so far are batting .167 on balls in play. I think that should improve. The big positive so far is Morneau is hitting well, so hopefully he'll start getting runners on base in front of him. Span (.250), Carroll (.083) and Mauer (.250) need to, and will, do a better job in that area.

And I just got the ConsensualPork nickname. Should Justin be nicknamed LessYes?

    1. The 1981 would have lost 100 in all likelihood, had they played 162. But that was a strike year. It was the 1982 club that lost 102.

      1. Oops, my bad. Either way, one very good team started 0-3 and one very bad team started 0-3.

  4. Im watching this thing on PBS, and its Kenny Loggins showing a a bunch of duets. Right now its Kenny Rogers and Sheena Easton butchering the Bob Seger classic 'We've Got Tonight'. <Looking at the wiki for the song, I am surprised that song never charted in the US for Seger, but was a #6 song as a duet.
