Twins affiliates split.  Brian Dinkelman hits a game-winning homer.  Fort Myers wins in thirteen innings.

ROCHESTER 5, BUFFALO 3 IN ROCHESTER

Batting starsRay Chang was 2-for-3 with a walk.  Brian Dinkelman hit a three-run homer.

Pitching starTyler Robertson retired the last four batters of the game to earn a save.

Opposition stars:  Valentino Pascucci hit a two-run homer to give the Bisons a first-inning lead.  Jack Egbert worked two scoreless innings of relief.

Key inning:  The sixth.  With the Red Wings trailing 3-2, an error and a walk put two on with two out.  Dinkelman's three-run homer gave the Wings a 5-3 lead.

Other:  The Bisons threatened in the seventh, loading the bases on two walks and an error.  Brendan Wise retired Josh Satin on a ground out to end the threat.

HARRISBURG 7, NEW BRITAIN 2 IN NEW BRITAIN

Batting starsAaron Hicks singled and homered.  Nate Hanson had two hits.

Pitching starLuke French retired eighteen of the first nineteen batters he faced.  For the game, he allowed two runs on three hits and a walk in 6.2 innings.

Opposition stars:  Jeff Kobemus was 3-for-5 with a double.  Sandy Leon was 3-for-4.  Robert Gilliam gave up two runs on seven hits in seven innings.

Key inning:  The ninth.  With the Rock Cats trailing 3-2, David Bromberg came in to pitch.  He gave up a single, but the runner was erased on a double play.  However, he then allowed two singles, a walk, a double, and two more singles, which plated four runs and put the game out of reach.

FORT MYERS 3, JUPITER 2 IN FORT MYERS (13 INNINGS)

Batting stars:  Oswaldo Arcia doubled and tripled.  Danny Rohlfing had two doubles.  Angel Morales singled and tripled.

Pitching starsJose Gonzalez struck out three in three shutout innings, allowing just a walk.  Caleb Thielbar struck out four in three shutout innings, giving up only one hit.  Matthew Hauser struck out three in two shuout innings, giving up one hit and getting the win.

Opposition stars:  Jacob Realmuto singled and homered.  Edgar Olmos gave up one run on four hits and a walk in six innings.

Key inning:  The thirteenth.  Rohlfing doubled with one out, took third on a ground out, and scored on a wild pitch to win the game.

OtherRohlfing drove in the tying run with two out in the eighth with a double.

KANE COUNTY 8, BELOIT 3 IN KANE COUNTY

Batting starsMiguel Sano was 2-for-4 with a triple.  Danny Ortiz hit a home run.

Pitching starA. J. Achter struck out two in a scoreless inning of relief.

Opposition stars:  Daniel Mateo was 3-for-4 with a double and scored three times.  Lane Adams was 2-for-2 with a double and a walk and drove in four.  Aaron Brooks got the win with five shutout innings, giving up three hits and two walks.

Key inning:  The fifth.  The Cougars already led 2-0, but a five-run inning put the game away.  The Cougars had three doubles and a single in the inning and were aided by an error and a hit batsman.  Matthew Summers and Nelvin Fuentes were the victims.

    But I am unable to read Ray Chang's name without picturing Ken Jeong in a baseball uniform.
