Me, too. My bet that he will win 11 games is off to a slow start.
Mauer catching today.
hit!
Carroll again takes the pressure off early!
Already as many hits as last night!
And no LOBs!
That was dumb.
Ball 1 to Ackley looked a lot like Strike 2 to Mauer.
is it 'game over' in the first inning?
When the Twins have scored on this road trip, it was a three-run inning. So ...
Ball 3 to Seager should have been Strike 3, according to Gameday.
crap
This is going well.
Good day today. I am smoking a pork butt on the Weber.
You keep adding briquets to keep heat steady?
Normally, but today I just used about 2/3 of a can, indirect heat, adding wood chips several times. I got about 90 minutes or so of smoke, then into the crock pot for a few hours so that I can run stands this afternoon. Pinto beans and roasted chiles to accompany tacos tonight.
Nice.
Ital sausage seared in garlic'ed olive oil w/ broccolini, tossed with Cappellaci all'uovo and covered with liberal amounts of parmesan reggiano.
Did a tough duathlon in upstate NY this morning and need something recuperative.
Mmm. I am a fan of the broccolini.
that was an unique hit attempt by Casilla
JoePos is talking about a Roayls player but sums up the Twins pitching this year.
Joe Posnanski @JPosnanski
Watching Luke Hochevar pitch is like eating late night at Denny's. For inexplicable reasons, I always expect it to be better.
Multiple hits today! Huzzah!
Anagram fun
Hector Noesi == Ho, Secretion
Well, the Twins won't beat their own record for fewest hits in a four-game stretch. They can still tie.
I say we all become Rays fans.
some dude name Pujols hit a HR today
Luis?
should have let that drop foul
That one might come back to haunt the Twins.
/cough/
With 5 runs in 4 innings, allowing only 1 is better than average!
man, that was a good play by the SS
Twins leadoff batters are 1-for-23 this series. That's an on-base average of .043.
closer, but way too much red. black beak, light gray flanks (dark wings? it's laying on its back). if it doesn't make it, I'll bring it next door and the neighbor can identify it
Cardinal.
Ha! no, the SAPSUCKER had way too much red to be this particular bird
nevermind though, it's returned to the air, leaving behind only a big tuft of down on the window
In Scandia we had a Cardinal that kept smacking against one of our windows, almost to the point of knocking itself senseless. We realized we had this red silk scarf from Thailand on the wall, and promptly removed it.
Justin Morneau has a yellow belly, no?
this made me laugh
I see it turning it's head a little. Concussion, wasn't wearing a helmet. Hope it's not badly injured.
Sounds even more like Morneau now!!!!11!!1
its sounds like this road trip has beaten the enthusiasm out of Dick Bremer
That was one of my thoughts today as well...when I was actually watching/listening.
IMHO, Attebury, having not played in Japan, lacks street-cred.
Has he even been to Japan 111!1101!1!!11??
These Mariners make getting hits look so easy. They must be one of the best offensive teams in baseball or something.
Leathah!
Whaaaaaa?!
holy s&^%!
What the hell was that?
Well, that ends several streaks.
Doumit!
Doh!
Since watching the Twins isn't a huge priority anymore, I went to the store and picked up a sixer of this.
Lagunitas rocks
Yep.
The dagger!
And Komatsu has now walked more times than Trader Clete has this year.
And Doumit has more hits that he had the rest of the year
THE TWINS ARE GOING TO WIN CONTEST THIS BASEBALL GAME!
Rally fez cap in order.
we need a good luck charm this inning
httpv://youtu.be/RV10_2slgHc
You know if we win this will go viral.
Double plays are not fun.
looked like that splitter-changeup hybrid pitch Burton has
Can we make the relievers the starters?
Mariners send Wilhelmsen back to the mound. Unfortunately, the Twins need more than three runs.
Is that legal? Twice in one game??
double the Doumits!
Doumit x 2! Someone is coming alive...
Doumit???
BB! Heh.
Mariners announcers angry about the zone.
its a bad time to be in love with the Twins right now

Baltimore is the best team in the American League.
I don't need to say who's the worst.
I'm choosing a good time to move to Baltimore!
Speaking of Baltimore, they're tied in the 14th in Boston.
Winning run thrown out at the plate in the bottom of the 16th! ZOMG!
Chris Davis goes 0-8 with 5 strikeouts and is the winning pitcher!
also had 2 strikeouts pitching. Better than the Twins starting pitchers!
*edit* didnt look at the box score close enough. He struck out 5 times and hit into a double play as a batter.
Interesting. Both teams switched their DH to pitcher.
Nick Blackburn's kids are cheering for him
Me, too. My bet that he will win 11 games is off to a slow start.

I wish baseball players wore cooler sunglasses.
Here is a pretty cool shot of Casey Stengel.
It appears that Fat Cigars were in vogue, then.
I enjoy a nice Churchill from time to time.
Cohiba Esplendido. But its been a while. A long while.
I'm here, let the
scoring commencewhatever. You may have noticed I've stopped predicting 8 run innings for the Twins.
How about an eight-run series?
Unlikely, but plausible.
Don't forget, there are 4-game series every now and again
1-for-24.
whoa, bird just hit my office window; from the looks of it, it's not getting up again. Something with a yellow belly
an Eastern Meadowlark?
Flicker.
nah, it's a bit darker, and not as big as a flicker; a splotch of red between beak and eyes (unless that's blood - nasty!)
Sapsucker?
