    1. When the Twins have scored on this road trip, it was a three-run inning. So ...

  1. Ball 3 to Seager should have been Strike 3, according to Gameday.

      1. Normally, but today I just used about 2/3 of a can, indirect heat, adding wood chips several times. I got about 90 minutes or so of smoke, then into the crock pot for a few hours so that I can run stands this afternoon. Pinto beans and roasted chiles to accompany tacos tonight.

        1. Nice.

Ital sausage seared in garlic'ed olive oil w/ broccolini, tossed with Cappellaci all'uovo and covered with liberal amounts of parmesan reggiano.

Did a tough duathlon in upstate NY this morning and need something recuperative.

  2. JoePos is talking about a Roayls player but sums up the Twins pitching this year.

    Joe Posnanski ‏ @JPosnanski
Watching Luke Hochevar pitch is like eating late night at Denny's. For inexplicable reasons, I always expect it to be better.

  3. Well, the Twins won't beat their own record for fewest hits in a four-game stretch. They can still tie.

    1. That one might come back to haunt the Twins.

      /cough/

  4. Twins leadoff batters are 1-for-23 this series. That's an on-base average of .043.

  5. You may have noticed I've stopped predicting 8 run innings for the Twins.

            1. closer, but way too much red. black beak, light gray flanks (dark wings? it's laying on its back). if it doesn't make it, I'll bring it next door and the neighbor can identify it

                1. Ha! no, the SAPSUCKER had way too much red to be this particular bird

nevermind though, it's returned to the air, leaving behind only a big tuft of down on the window

                  1. In Scandia we had a Cardinal that kept smacking against one of our windows, almost to the point of knocking itself senseless. We realized we had this red silk scarf from Thailand on the wall, and promptly removed it.

  6. its sounds like this road trip has beaten the enthusiasm out of Dick Bremer

    1. That was one of my thoughts today as well...when I was actually watching/listening.

  7. These Mariners make getting hits look so easy. They must be one of the best offensive teams in baseball or something.

  8. Since watching the Twins isn't a huge priority anymore, I went to the store and picked up a sixer of this.

  9. Mariners send Wilhelmsen back to the mound. Unfortunately, the Twins need more than three runs.

  10. its a bad time to be in love with the Twins right now

  11. Baltimore is the best team in the American League.

I don't need to say who's the worst.

      1. Winning run thrown out at the plate in the bottom of the 16th! ZOMG!

          1. also had 2 strikeouts pitching. Better than the Twins starting pitchers!

*edit* didnt look at the box score close enough. He struck out 5 times and hit into a double play as a batter.
