It was outstanding. Nicely smokey on the nose, but not overwhelmingly so on the palate. Lots of malt, and a little bit of residual sweetness. Just a delicious experience. I highly recommend it.
Speaking of smokey, I had this at the bar on Friday. They poured me a full pint. I had to leave some in the glass: couldn't finish it. A half-pint would have been good, but it was too rich, too strong, too thick, and I couldn't drink enough and still catch my bus home. It was kindof like drinking a barleywine/smoked salmon smoothie.
