So, who's coming to the Lydia Loveless show at Triple Rock tonight? Only $8, as much as you were gonna pay to see another movie about batty men and their spiders. Those batty men will still be at the theatre tomorrow night, but Lydia will only be in our fine metropolis for tonight. (Tomorrow night, she's in Grand Rapids, MN.)

OK, this kid has way too much time on his hands, but you've got to applaud his determination and effort. For all who wondered what Beyoncé's "Countdown" video would have looked like if the part of the pregnant pop singer had been played by an teenaged boy of Asian descent in a Snuggie.
That was bizarre, hilarious, and very impressive.
Showed EAR this morning. She didn't understand until I showed her the side-by-side comparison. At that point, she was as mesmerized as I was.

I've always loved The Show Must Go On, as a young lad I picked up the Hard Labor album in the cut-out bin, played in quite a bit.

Sounds better than Daft Punk playing at your house but prerecorded. (Or worse yet: dead!)
That was the first LCDSS song I heard, and I thought it was so awesome. (I wish I could say that I was there when the first vinyl copy of "Losing My Edge" was played at Let It Be, but I was not.)
And tickets to both concerts have been purchased. Anyone else going to either show (Rural Alberta Advantage is with Dan Mangum)?
Somehow that RAA show slipped my attention thus far. I do think I'll be hitting that up.
Nice, should be easier to find you in the Entry than the Fine Line.
Heh, no kidding. In the Entry it shouldn't be any problem.

T. Not an Aerosmith cover. (That would be “Amazin'”.)

So AMR, are you going to Lydia Loveless. This is what, the 4th time she's been here since March? I'm on the fence as I have to get up early tomorrow. I've told some other people about it too. I'm probably at 50-50 on going.
Yes, I am going. Almost was gonna bring the wife, but then she realized how late it would get with 9pm doors. So we're going out to dinner and then I'm to the concert alone (or with you or my co-worker Joe).

I've not heard of them (I don't really buy music much anymore, so I'm not up on the current happenings.) I'll check em out when I get home, though.

One of several standout tracks from her new record. Can't see how this won't make my year-end Best Of.
i was very surprised this didn't garner more notice, what with all you old fogies around here.
Oooh. Thanks for the link-back. I missed that on the first go-around. Very nice.
Ditto, although if it makes you feel any better, joe, I played a Tim Buckley clip at the old joint that didn't even garner a single vote.
