Will there be a time when you can add the "Miguel Sano has nothing to learn in Beloit" tag?
I hope so, but it probably won't be while he's hitting .254.
And when he improves on his 36 errors and 27% strikeout rate.
Thats what I get for not looking anything up.
But still, that day will come.
Jim Mandelaro touches on the marathon game in Rochester, Parmelee, Valencia & Nishi.
My understanding is that the Twins wouldn't call up players from minor league teams if they made the postseason. Also, I wonder if leaving Parmelee in Rochester is a deliberate move by the Twins to improve relations between the two teams. The Red Wings are finally playing well and actually have a chance to play into September.
No doubt this factored into the Twins decision to trade Valencia.
(Emphasis mine.) Me too Jim, me too.
The Twins kept Benson and Parmelee in New Britain until their playoffs were over, so I don't see why anything would change this season, unless they traded someone so an everyday spot in the lineup opened up. Btw, Parmelee leads the Red Wings in HRs despite playing in less than 40 percent of their games. If Plouffe and Parmelee are both for real, then there's a lot to be excited about for the future of this franchise.
The P and P Boys.
