  1. Dazzle: The good news is the walk sets up the double play.
Me: Are you smoking airplane model glue?

  2. Dazlstein: My wife has a big tattoo #32 on her back.
Me: How much does tattoo eraser surgery cost?

  3. Twins 17-31 in day games, pot. reasons:

    1) Sleeping in too late (late-nite jazz fests at Fine Line).
    2) High-tech sunglasses filtering out both harmful UV rays, and baseballs.
    3) Trying to end games so can catch watch replay episodes of Ghost Whisperer (feat. JLH), which plays at 5 bells and 5 thirty.

    1. I just dropped in to see what condition my baseball team's in.
Personal update: Sunday Afternoon naps work just as good without football on TV.
      Hey, Herrmann's ML Debut!

  4. the Twins are playing their 67th* man this year because Chris Herrmann is the catcher

    *this is just a guess

  5. Other famous Herrmann's include composer Bernard Herrmann, and the guy who voiced everything on The History Channel (you know, before they went all Pawn Shop, all the time) Edward Herrmann

    1. dagnabbit! Was hoping for one of those "First AB HRs". Herrmann must be waiting for the "first hit a walk-off grand slam" next inning.

  6. Margin for error's dropping boys. Just let it get back to Herrmann for the game-tying, two-outs-in-the-ninth first-hit-grand-slam!

The Twins have six home games left: 3 with the Yanks and 3 with the Tigs. The bottom is in sight!

  8. Didn't see the game, but it sounds like Diamond did okay for five innings before falling apart in the sixth. It still sounds to me like he's getting tired at the end of a long season. At any rate, we'll just have to settle for 75-87.
