I reorganized my iPod last night and added some albums. Here is what the random 10 turned into:
1. Jurassic 5 - What's Golden
2. Unknown Prophets - Tap Dance
3. Disney Orchestra - Aladdin's World
4. P.O.S. - Graves
5. Generationals - Yours Forever
6. Natalie Merchant - River
7. Lonestar - Not a Day Goes By
8. Keith Urban - Live to Love Another Day
9. Journey - Girl Can't Help It
10. Fitz & The Tantrums - L.O.V.
This is easily my least favorite of all your lists so far. It makes me doubt your manhood.
This list isn't all that bad. As you can probably tell, I do like country too. Actually, a group I really like, but do not have on my iPod yet is Gangstagrass. Check them out. 🙂
They do the "Justified" theme song.
I don't consider Lonestar or Keith Urban to be particularly country. I consider them to be "big record label 'artists'".
And for some reason I absolutely hate the song L.O.V.
How can you hate Fitz & The Tantrums?
I don't hate Fitz & The Tantrums, just the one song. Well, "Moneygrabber" was way overplayed too, but that's different from hate.
I agree Moneygrabber was overplayed, but some songs are just good upbeat songs.
The presence of P.O.S. makes me simultaneously happy and excited for October 23.
Must you attempt to undermine me at every turn?
I thought better of voicing my disdain for Lonestar, which is legendary.
That was at least 33% of the motivation for my comment. Probably more.
This will be a great month for rap releases. Macklemore's The Heist is AWESOME. Blueprint's Deleted Scenes comes out next Tuesday (though I hope to get my pre-ordered CD today). Then P.O.S. is the following week!
In reference to this, and as a sort of crossover between this and video game day, here's the look on We Don't Even Live Here's vinyl (it's a picture disc).
Pretty awesome.

*If I haven't mentioned it yet, Dr. Dog is playing at Tipitina's on the 13th of November. I'm more than a bit excited about that.
†one of my favorite MM songs. This one can instantly transport me back to the University of Minnesota Duluth campus circa 2001. Fond memories always wash over me when I hear this song even though it's pretty dark.
i can barely listen to this is a long drive for someone with nothing to think about anymore due to it taking me to a past-y place. i think you and i previously agreed on the difficulty of listening to music of yore.

2. Heh. I admit to enjoying the music from this particular production. I might also admit to having attended this particular production in a brutal Frankenfurter costume, but I might also deny it until such time as I am confronted with the photographic evidence that prevents me from denying it.
3. I loved The Reluctant Graveyard initially. It's worn thin for me over the last year+
10. Every time I see the title of this album I think of Ben Stiller in Arrested Development.
Bonus: First time I've heard this song in ages. It wasn't actually terrible. I don't need to hear it again any time soon, but it wasn't terrible.
I did not hate Maroon 5's Songs About Jane CD. I still don't, actually. It's mildly acceptable pop music that I can listen to while doing projects with the wife. I think that qualifies as a dark secret.
yeah, i've got the RHPS soundtrack on my ipod, though i'm not as, erm, connected to it as you are.
I've only ever seen it twice, and both times were in college, as an on-campus event. Freshman and Senior years. Freshman year I had a fairly timid approach. Senior year was all out.

B. One of the finest club remixes I have ever heard. 14 minutes, like five separate movements, focusing on different parts of the original. There's warm, everyday life, doom building to a climax of horror, a temporary resumption of hope and normalcy, a new build of stress, and the final triumph of love and dancing Ewoks following the destruction. It's better than Spielberg's The War of the Worlds. If you don't have any Whitney in your library, this could be the place to start (and finish).
