TwinsOswaldo Arcia was 0-for-2 and struck out once for Aragua.  Edgar Ibarra pitched five shutout innings, giving up just two hits and a walk for Aragua.  Dakota Watts faced one batter and gave up a hit for Aragua.

Game summary:  A two-run ninth put it away for Aragua.

Aragua:  Carlos Colmenares was 3-for-4 with a home run and drove in two.  Ty Wright (Cubs) was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Zulia:  Josh Schmidt (Miami) struck out eight in 4.1 innings, giving up a run on four hits and three walks.

MARGARITA 7, LA GUAIRA 5 IN MARGARITA

TwinsEduardo Escobar was 0-for-5 and struck out once for La Guaira.  Aaron Hicks was 0-for-4 for Margarita.  Sean Burroughs was 0-for-1 as a pinch-hitter for Margarita.

Game summary:  Margarita scored five in the seventh to overcome a 4-0 deficit, then scored two in the eighth to break a 5-5 tie.

La Guaira:  Cesar Suarez was 3-for-4, scoring once and driving in two.  Darin Ruf (Philadelphia) hit a home run.

Margarita:  Luis Chirinos (Washington) gave up an unearned run on three hits while striking out three in 3.2 innings.  Max Ramirez (Kansas City) was 2-for-4 with a double and scored twice.

MAGALLANES 4, LARA 3 IN MAGALLANES

Game summary:  Erold Andrus singled in the winning run in the ninth.  Magallanes had lost a 3-0 lead.

Lara:  Tomas Perez was 3-for-3 with a walk and scored once.  Luis Jimenez (Seattle) was 2-for-4 with a walk.

Magallanes:  Andrus was 3-for-4 with a walk and scored once.  Gustavo Chacin struck out four in 3.2 scoreless innings.

CARACAS 5, ANZOATEGUI 3 IN CARACAS

Game summary:  Caracas scored three in the second and never trailed.

Anzoategui:  Jordan Brown (Milwaukee) was 2-for-4 with a double and a home run, scoring twice.  Luis Durango was 2-for-3 with a walk, scoring once.

Caracas:  Henry Wrigley (Tampa Bay) was 2-for-3 with a double and a home run, driving in two.  Scott Carroll (White Sox) gave up one run on three hits and two walks in six innings.
