Vamos Tigres! I need this Brackef win
Who the hell at X-Factor advertising said "Hey, you know those political ads everyone hates? Yeah, let's get on that train."
I have watched X-Factor as much as I have watched American Idol: 0 minutes
'Pence could have scored from second if this was in Oakland' ~ if Tim McCarver was replaced by Bert Blyleven
I made it an inning and a half of McCarver's BS before I muted the TV and put on "Let It Be".
Beatles or Replacements?
Replacements. I'm not a huge Beatles guy. Nothing against them, just not my cup of tea (as it were).
So you just heard Gary's Got a Boner. Greatest unsung rock song ever!
the Tigers need a rally cap thing going or something.
Why didn't Scherzer start tonight? Could have rally mismatched colored contacts!
If the Tigers don't score here and the Gints get a run in the fourth, I'm calling GOWSOSO.
The problem is that the gigantes still have to throw a game.
You've still got Scherzer's no-hitter tomorrow to bank upon.
that double play deflates things
Dubbel spiel!
Or something
We're gonna play some ticket to ride. Be back later to check in.
The Tigers are looking pretty tame so far.
Paper Tigers, until this inning?
Still meowing.
the last time the Tigers scored was the 9th inning of Game 1
I'm pickling Venison Heart tonight. Four hearts, boiled & cut. Now about to cut an onion and start shoving into jars.
i can safely say that i've never had pickled venison heart.
It's not much different than pickled beefheart, or pickled tongue for that matter. Not crunchy with connective tissues like tongue, though. If you've never had pickled beefheart or tongue, imagine the flavor of pickled gizzards or sülze in a slice of lean steak with a finer texture.
Heart is organ meat without the "Organ Meat" flavor. Same is true for tongue, but that's got a really distinctive texture (crunchy), and peeling them is a pain. Heart isn't great where regular meat is because its texture is so fine, but pickled works just swell.
I like mine less salty and more vinegary and pickling-spice-y than my recipe, and I put the onion in the jar raw before pouring the brine over.
It's not a shelf-stable pickling: it just needs about 4 days in the fridge for the vinegar and spices to take.

...
still no frame of reference.
Headcheese? Pigs Feet?
Maybe: Pickled Herring without any sweetness, and higher spice content. But not with fish, of course.
Run through the base and you are safe.
This.
I've seen this series before
Tigers = Twins
Giants = Yankees
C'mon now. The Twins have never lost four games to the Yankees in the Postseason.
None that I have
blacked outremembered.GOWSOSO
that was a pretty sweet catch by posey.
I was surprised the LF got to that.
Blanco deserves serious MVP consideration.
I'm not gonna get this brine boiling until the game is over...
Oh, I forgot my comment above, that not only was the game over, but also the World Series and with it, the season.
Is Joe Buck implying that the Tigers are throwing the series to profit on the gambling?
Should I send Cain a cut of my prospective winnings to throw tomorrow's game?
Better be more than has been offered to the Tigers.
