  1. Just getting here to remind folks of my prediction of a Max Scherzer no-hitter so that when it happens, my predictions is already out.

  2. Whoooo! That Laird CS got me excited.
Don't care who wins the series, but want Scherzer to win this game.

    1. Scherzer does not only look like he's 28. I feel bad for the guy. I look five years older than I am, too, so I totally sympathize.

      1. A co-worker of mine and I just got mystery shopped by the same person a few days ago. The shopper listed me as 21-25 (I'm 35) and listed my co-worker as 40-50 (she's 26).

  3. That so would have gone foul if not for the fact that even if he hadn't picked it up, there was a Ginormous Miguel Cabrera in the way.

    1. Mo Vaughn won the ALMVP in 1995, over Joey Belle (he wuz robbed). Gary Disarcina received 3 votes that year

        1. Jose Mesa's 46 saves got more MVP votes than Randy Johnson, but Johnson won the Cy Young (Mesa got 2 first place votes). weird

  4. I hadn't realized until this morning that Scutters was Venezuelan. I'd just always assumed he was American, possibly of Italian descent. Never heard him in an interview.

    Aw, shit. Posey.

  5. I havent seen a 'John 3:16' sign at a ballgame in a long time. well done fan behind home plate

    1. All the teams I preferred to see advance from the division series didn't (hence my big fat bagel in the Playoff Brackef), but a Yankee sweep followed by a Tiger sweep is a pretty fun consolation combination.

        1. Me too - the Giants have always been a favorite of mine and to watch Miggy the Detroit offense crap the bed in that situation the whole series was pretty fun.

    2. I wanted it to be competitive, but the way it ended with a big fatty right down the middle of the plate was awesome.

One of the best endings of a World Series since Babe Ruth tried to steal second in 1926.

    1. well, Pete Townshend recently released a memoirs, and last year Pete decided to loosen the reigns of his music catalog and turned over the marketing of 'deeper cuts' of The Who to some company.

      thats my guess

    2. 1. I'm pretty sure that the band is from San Francisco (hippies, after all).
      2. Fox going to steal the CSI series from CBS?
      3. Wanted "New Mother Nature/No Sugar Tonight", but licensing team screwed up.
