Game summary:  Guasave built a 6-1 lead after three innings.  Obregon closed to 8-6 with a three-run eighth.

Obregon:  Barbaro Canizares was 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs.  Doug Clark was 2-for-3 with a walk and scored twice.

Guasave:  Zelous Wheeler (Baltimore) was 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, and a home run, scoring three times.  Jose Rodriguez was 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk.

MAZATLAN 10, NAVOJOA 7 IN NAVOJOA

TwinsAnthony Slama (Mazatlan) pitched a perfect inning and struck out the side.

Game summary:  Mazatland scored three in the fourth to take a 9-7 lead.

Mazatlan:  Jose Orozco was 3-for-4 with a double and a home run, driving in four.  Oswaldo Morejon was 3-for-5 with a two-run homer.

Navojoa:  Genaro Andrade was 2-for-5 with a three-run homer.  Wes Bankston was 2-for-4 with a walk and scored once.

LOS MOCHIS 3, CULIACAN 0 IN CULIACAN

Game summary:  Los Mochis scored single runs in the fourth, seventh, and ninth.

Los Mochis:  Tomas Solis worked six shutout innings, giving up four hits and three walks.  Saul Soto was 1-for-3 with two walks and a double, driving in one.

Culiacan:  Alfonso Sanchez struck out five in 5.2 innings, allowing one run.  Ramiro Pena (Yankees) was 2-for-3 with a walk.

HERMOSILLO 7, MEXICALI 3 IN HERMOSILLO

Game summary:  A three-run homer by Todd Cunningham (Atlanta) capped a four-run seventh which put Hermosillo ahead 7-3.

Mexicali:  Chris Roberson and Geronimo Gil were each 1-for-3 with a walk.

Hermosillo:  Carlos Gastelum was 4-for-5 with a double and scored once.  Cunnningham was 2-for-4 and walked once.
