ANZOATEGUI 3, ZULIA 2 IN ANZOATEGUI

TwinsEduardo Escobar (Anzoategui) was 0-for-4.  Bruce Pugh (Anzoategui) pitched two thirds of an inning, giving up no runs on one hit.

Game summary:  Anzoategui scored single runs in the first, second, and fourth.  All the game’s runs were scored in the first four innings.

Zulia:  Felix Perez (Cincinnati) was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.  Evan Gattis (Atlanta) was 1-for-3 with a home run and a walk.

Anzoategui:  Niuman Romero (Baltimore) was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk, scoring once.  Jose Gil (Baltimore) was 1-for-2 with a home run and two walks.

Game summary:  Magallanes scored single runs in the second, third, and sixth.

Magallanes:  Sergio Perez pitched seven innings, giving up six hits and two walks.  Elvis Andrus was 3-for-4 with two doubles and scored once.

Aragua:  Hector Gimenez was 2-for-4.  Joucer Martinez struck out four in 3.1 innings, allowing an unearned run on three hits and no walks.

Game summary:  Trailing 1-0 after five, La Guaira scored all five runs in the sixth.

La Guaira:  Junior Guerra gave up one run on four hits and no walks in four innings.  Gregor Blanco was 2-for-4 with a triple and a homer.

Margarita:  Daryl Thompson struck out five in four shutout innings, allowing two hits and four walks.  Max Ramirez (Kansas City) was 1-for-1 with a two-run homer and a walk and was hit by a pitch.
