I first heard this song on the jukebox at a Pizza Hut somewhere in Missouri on a family trip in the 1970s (probably 1976). We were all dog-tired from spending all day driving, and my dad bitched constantly about the "noise" from the jukebox.
If he don't wanna know
Forget him
About 10 years ago a friend of mine stuck two old Thin Lizzy songs on a mix
tapeCD. I'd never heard either song, but immediately loved them both: Diddy Levine and Honesty Is No Excuse Turns out they were both from their 1971 self-titled debut. It's become my favorite record of theirs. Not that I needed another reason to love Aimee Mann, but she has the good taste to cover the latter in concert. With the awesome Ted Leo.

I've been to Dino's Bar and Grill in Terenure. Got some chips there once.
It's not my favorite Thin Lizzy song, but they are one of my favorite bands.
Thin Lizzy Jailbreak is a fantastic album. 'Cowboy Song' is an all time classic
but probablu since Ive heard this song about 10,000 times since I was a little kid, my least favorite song on the album.
