April 14, 2013: Bizarro

So far 4-2 against the Tigers and Orioles, and 0-5 against the Royals and Mets. Our prediction sheet could be pretty messed up, Citizens.

Also, the first BKAC podcast goes up tomorrow. It would have been today, but people aren't usually around as much on Sundays.

Today's @Twins - Mets game has been postponed due to weather. Game will be made up August 19 at 1:10 pm.

  2. I guess The Don's job is safe. The team that upset the Gophers in the first round won the Frozen Four.

  3. prospect alert!

Oswaldo Arcia will join Twins on Monday, source says, to fill Wilkin Ramirez's spot during paternity leave.

      1. And my first thought is "He'll hurt himself playing in the cold, or just plain turn against the state of MN."
        Bring up Clete Thomas instead.

    1. It will be nice to get a look at Arcia, but unless they have a place for him starting every day, I would rather they call up Colabello. He would seem to be a guy you might want in Ramirez's role and it would be an awesome story to see a guy that was in independent baseball two years ago get a call up to the big leagues.

    1. Do you mind putting it in the Cup of Coffee initially? I have some other ideas and want to see how the Watch goes before deciding on a more final location.

      1. Gives up a hit to the leadoff batter in the eighth. I guess if someone takes a no-hitter into the ninth tomorrow, we'll know to watch games intently on Tuesday.

  4. Butch tells me Bismarck has 10" of new snow today. SBGVILLE at 4 and counting. Also dad told me Maurer sux.

    1. I looked at the extended forecast. Weather Underground predicts snow for Monday. April 22.

    2. my orange trees are in bloom and my roses have started to bloom (not bud -- blooms opening).

I mowed the back yard today. First real yard work since shoulder surgery six weeks ago. Pushing a push mower is...hard.

  5. we all know Aaron Hicks has been bad. But check out Brett Wallace of Houston: .042/.115/.042 .1 h it, 2 BB, 17 ks in 27 pa

    1. the O's should roll over and let the Yanks win
why else would they be on Sunday night?

    1. Well, that worked pretty well. Is there a way to do this so I don't have to manually input a comma between stat? I have this saved in a CSV spreadsheet.

      1. If it's in CSV format, you can just copy it directly from the file. Open it in a text editor and copy/paste. I recommend splitting the hitters and pitchers apart to allow independently sorting the two.

  7. Those Buccos throwback pullovers looked pretty sweet. Yellow-crown caps nice touch, too. But I can take em or leave em.
I can't tell if those a true sansabelt pants, but if not, nice job in disguising a belted pants for the old-school 1970s look.
