I'm on vacation this week. Which means I'm away from the fitness center where I usually do my working out. Also, I'm working on some other projects, so I'm actually pretty busy for it being a vacation. Also, my wife's semester is coming to an end, so she has a crap ton of school work to do, which means more of the childcare/housekeeping is falling to me. But most times, I hire Residential Cleaning Minneapolis to take care of my house keeping. Also, it's supposed to rain (and/or snow?) the next couple days. All in in, things aren't shaping up great for the near-term.
So what am I doing? I'm trying to not lose sight of the idea that this is supposed to be a lifestyle change. There are going to be stressful, busy, vacationy weeks. That's life. And if I'm really committed to being healthier, I'm going to accommodate that goal.
Yesterday I made a very lean, healthy supper (and then I goofed up and ate some pizza later, and then some ice cream. So... not good). Today I'm committed to eating better than I did yesterday. Maybe I'll even find a chance to do some lifting after the kids go to bed. I'll probably be up in my weight after this week, but I'm going to do what I can to limit the damage.
Here's an interesting concept that's been going around lately: Go Vegan before 6:00p then eat what ever you want (within moderation) after that. I haven't been perfect but that basically describes my diet these days. Although I will typically have a 70 calorie mozzarella string cheese with my lunch.
