May 5, 2013: Viva Benito!

Viva la Cinco de Mayo!

Here's a hearty thanks to you for your support yesterday. I'm...not okay, really, but I'll get there. Nayasha was far too young to die and I'm not sure I've made sense of this yet, but being able to come here is a helpful thing after having to spend all night wandering around my workplace, reminded of my time with her all day.

Live long, Citizens.

    1. The other link I saw to that said something along the lines of " 'Call me Ishmael' has got nothing on 'The hippo who tried to kill me wasn't a stranger'".

  1. Oy, this international travel crap is exhausting. Anyone, hello from Tokyo. I managed to get another flight to Bangkok, but it isn't until tomorrow morning, so I had to quick find an available hotel room after I got through customs. Of course, when I get there I doubt I'll be able to sleep since its merely Sunday morning if my body is any indication. Plus, my day off I was going to have tomorrow (turns out its a holiday there) in Bangkok is going to be spent traveling. But, what can you do?

  2. Alex Meyer and Jose Berrios are both pitching today. Good day to check out the minor leagues.

    1. I think he's performing near the seats that Mike's better half provided. /rubbingitin

  3. Houston is playing Detroit this afternoon:
    Justin Verlander ( 3-2, 1.83)
    Philip Humber (0-6, 7.58)

    1. also of note, take a look at the 2004 draft

1 Padres Matt Bush (-- WAR)
      2 Tigers Justin Verlander (37.5)
      3 Mets Philip Humber (1.9)

the Twins had 5 first rounders that year: Plouffe (20), Perkins (22)*, Kyle Waldrop (25)**, Matt Fox (35)*, Jay Rainville (39)**

      *comp pick for Eddie Guardado
** comp pick for LaTroy Hawkins

        1. only made it to AA
now in prison until 2016 because he ran someone over with his car while drunk, and it was his third DUI.

      1. yeah, its like the Wild were super physical for 2 1/2 periods, then kinda sat back and played prevent defense.

  4. That's what I'm talking about!

(Oops - click ahead about 5-6 pics to get the Pied du Cochon's poutine avec fois gras).

      1. Haven't. But did rip a sheet from the Delta air magazine that show's his hair styling. Was going to take to a stylist to see if it could work with my Swedish hair.

    1. I don't want exciting. I want the Wild to score 40 goals in four games. And not have one game be 17-2 or something.

    1. Wooo, finally a little good news this weekend, as I'm having troubles checking in to my flight this morning.

    1. I'd love for Buxton to get moved up so he, Sano, and Rosario could all play together. Then move them up to AA together later in the year.

      1. Exactly. That's the core right there, along with Mauer and maybe Hicks and/or Arcia.
