  1. Dr. Fear: Your white blood count is somewhat low. Want to get it checked on?
    Me: OK.

Dr. Paz: Let's do a test.
    Me. OK.

    Today:
Wendy: Hang in there (me half-naked, she sticks a needle into my pelvis bone to draw marrow. Pain!!)!

  2. Bert said he couldn't remember any particular batter he owned. That seems...odd. Especially for a guy who likes to boast.

So I checked. He owned plenty, but most impressively, he owned Robin Yount.

114 plate appearances, and Yount had a slash line of 182/211/300

        1. he made contact on the 2nd swipe. The third swipe missed (when Morneau hit the plate) but he had already nipped his shoulder

  3. I think Joe Vavra is kind of nuts sending Morneau all these times, yet Mornaeu keeps scoring the runs. its odd

              1. Wait, the batter has the same jersey as Chewbacca. That means this is from 1999. The red jerseys are for the Mariners.
                I'm all straightened out now.

  4. Willingham is always a risk to run. Good job keeping him on second.

    1. It it is almost like putting KC out there for another inning was a bad idea.

    1. I had no problem with it. Bullpen has been overused of late. Correia hadn't given up anything since the second inning. He was under 100 pitches. Bottom of the order coming up. Game tied instead of with a lead.

  5. Good thing to let Correia pitch to those two batters, Ron. Your run of stellar bullpen management continues.

  6. I don't understand the outcome of this game. Two of the White Sox runs came on solo homers. Everyone knows that solo homers don't hurt you. Therefore, the score should've been 2-2, and the game should've gone to extra innings. I assume the Twins have protested on that basis. Pending the outcome of the protest, however, we'll just have to settle for 144-18.
