  1. Dick: Noon start tomorrow, which is a roughly 11 AM start in Minnesota.

I wasn't aware time zones were so flexible again.

  2. Hey Rows, DJ's Dugout not only pushed a table over to the wall for me so I could plug in the laptop, but they put the game on one of their big screens AND on the overhead speakers on this side of the room. My new go-to in Omaha.

    1. I'm guessing mine will involve a can of Progresso soup (Italian Style Wedding, perhaps?) and a Summit Horizon Red Ale.

    2. I made a delicious jambalaya with veggies, sausage, shrimp, and imitation crab.

For dessert, a delicious skinny cow ice cream sandwich.

        1. Imitation is fine for something like jambalaya. You should just be happy that I'm cooking for myself at all!

    3. the Boy has been tasked with making a salad of watermelon, strawberries, bacon, apples, and basil. and bacon. did I mention the bacon?

        1. The recipe calls for green apples to give this a little bit of tart crunch. I think the apple could be substituted out. Pears, asian pears, or jicama would be reasonable substitutes in this recipe.

  3. Seeing a close up of Luke Scott's disgusting rat tail doesn't make me like him any more. [Edit: adding the space in between those last two words make a big difference in meaning!]

  4. Dick obsessed with the Rays scoring a run using four batters. He must have been devastated when Florimon homered instead of letting Escobar steal and bunting him to third.

    1. Since my retirement from listening to Dick and Bert unless I have to, I've learned that nearly all the teams out there are pretty bad, but I'll still take most of them over Dick and Bert.

      1. For 3 days at a time, anyway. Bert's not really an intellectual-type announcer, but neither are most. It's nice to get a taste of somebody else's nonsense from time to time.

        1. I think that's it. Most are dumb, but in different ways. The defenses for each dumb have a chance to recover.

        2. intellectual-type

Eating some cherries while catching up on the gamelog, and I darn near swallowed a pit when I read that, Greek.

    1. Korreia struck out three and walked two that inning. There's no way he's ever done that before, right?

  5. I know it's only tied, but it feels like our chances of winning just dropped to about 5%.

    1. Yea, well, that's like, your opinion, Man. I'm here now, tying this game together.

  6. So apparently Tonkin is with the team, and I think FSN just showed him on the bench in the bullpen. But Thielbar is also still with the team and isn't leaving until tomorrow, when Tonkin will be activated.

          1. Good thing next Monday is movie day. I might have another movie to add after watching World War Z.

          2. The trailers I saw definitely didn't grab me, which is definitely saying something since I've been excited for everything they've had coming out other than Cars 2 (since I'd seen Cars by that point).

  7. oh, thanks for that Wilson "Lord Rama" Ramos hits a donger highlight, fellahs. Always appreciate the paper cuts and lemon juice.

    1. Apropos of that: seen in my neighborhood tonight: a Rauch shirsey. You may recall that the Twins weren't convinced that Mr. Rauch could get the job done, so they traded for Crapps. Silly Billy. Neck Tat was tall.

  8. This is the part where Rodney relaxes and forgets he still has one out to get, right?

  9. This would be a good time for Arcia to get off the schneid. Just a bingle, Oswaldo. Just a bingle. A duck snort. A blooper.

  10. verdict on the watermelon, strawberry, and bacon salad: thumbs up. Refreshing, plus crispy bacon.

  11. That's what I get for
"Oh I'll check the score. It's still going on? I'll tune in to the radio."

    1. You can’t win ‘em all, and in all likelihood, you’ll lose ‘em all.
At least all of the rest. Still (still!) on track for 37-125.
      (;_;)

      1. Don't be silly. Think about how much longer it took us to lose this game than it took to lose the others. That's Real Progress! In fact, it's better than Progress, it's Momentum! And everyone knows, you can't lose when you have Momentum on your side! We'll just have to settle for 111-51!
