Rangers baserunners have a case of the Denard Span
ha ha ha
UNO!
I came here just to say that.
I was half watching it and I saw that weak assed ground out to second and I heard swings at the first pitch and I knew what was happening.
Two consecutive UNOs
Go big or go home.
Wife is asking why the pitching change.I have no answer.
each team literally has 37 players at their disposal for this game.
Peter Gammons tweeted tonight that it was disrespectful to the game to have a playoff spot determined with "37 man" rosters. He's right -- that's never happened, except for every September for as long as I can remember.
By my quick and dirty research, it looks like the Yankees had at least 17 active position players during the Bucky Dent game.
would have been a HR at Target Field
That was a loud inning for Price.
If you are in a pennant race and don't call up 10 players on September 1, what are you thinking?
Rochester needs to win a pennant
oh my goodness
6 umps on the field and they all missed that
But it is not a playoff game!
is Phil Cuzzi on this crew?
Wow. Robot umps now!
So, two year extension for Gardy. Means he's on track for midseason firing, right?
He didn't get an extension last year. He was nearly a goner at the break. His team completely imploded. And he's rewarded with a two-year extension. I don't get it.
But the coaches only got one-year deals!
Not only did that bounce into his glove, it might have bounced out, too.
What, is Joel Maturi the general manager now?
Ooh. Nice play, Price.
Sam Fuld!
Yeah, I want to Rays to win everything. They are the best run organization in baseball, and it's time to give the dozens of fans who have been with them since the beginning something to cheer about(other than the Yankees).
I hope they win nothing while they continue to employ Josh Lueke.
*sigh*
My innate enjoyment of Rays baseball is weighted against the truth of this fact.
Complete game? Did the Twins even have one of those this season?
Only 4 K's. The Twins definitely had a few of those starts this year.
Cy Young Albers had one I think.
I think they were pretty rare.
Typically way fewer strikeouts than that.
Yeah, 4 was about their K/9 and we know how often they went 9.
w00t!
The Rays are going to another 1 game playoff! The Rays are going to another 1 game playoff!
Impressive pitching performance. Especially since there were a lot of near homers mixed in.
I'm pretty sure that's the first ever complete game pitched in a tiebreaker game for the second wild-card.
Delmon Young batting fifth for the Rays.
And knocks in the first run. RBI machine!
He even took two pitches!
Ahh. So I guess it is time for me to go home. Free baseball!
Superb demonstration by Price on adjusting the jock strap.
nice play by the firstbasedude, blocking the slide
generous strike by Blue. wow
Helped by one of the best framers.
I got quad mode of the game going on the computer, it is interesting and very confusing.
jet stream!
DONGER! Longoria.
in game "inside baseball" reading from Richard Deitsch of SI.
notes "1b" and "1c" sound pretty awesome.

*checks record book*
At least since 1916.
