  1. Both series have featured outstanding pitching, reminiscent of pennant series from the late 60's. In some ways it's nice not having a dog in the fight, I can just sit back and enjoy the talent without caring much about the outcome.

        1. Yea, I was so confused. There were a few questionable ball/strike calls, but for the most part, Cowboy Joe seemed to be calling a good game.

  2. Okay, that was weird. I was on youtube checking out some videos and on one page (a video about Banksy in NYC) every single preview of semi-related videos on the right sidebar had thumbnails of bikini and lingerie models, even though the video clips were mostly from news networks. They must be doing maintenance on the matrix or something.

    1. I've spoken to several children and none of them have ever heard of a "fractured left forearm".
Also, according to these experts, a metal plate is something you eat off of. Why would you put that in your arm?

      1. And Ray Lewis is the voice of reason on that panel.
Well those glasses do look like they add 30 points of IQ.
(Unlike Ditka's which make him look very old and leaning towards senility.)

    2. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I think there are very few professional athletes who would fake an injury to avoid playing.

      1. I think that most don't think an athlete is faking an injury as much as he's unwilling to play through "minor" pain or is doing something selfish like not wanting to risk his career for a game in the early part of the regular season.

  3. Wild win 5-1 last night, and have now outshot their opponents in every game so far. I think they'll be fine. Also, on the bright side, Josh Harding has been awesome in three games in relief of Backstrom.

  4. are you missing the Vikings game today? For the highlights, just Google search "dumpster fire".

  5. I have several friends an family who have fought or are fighting breast cancer so I am appreciative of the pink accessories this month, but I can't help but wonder: What color could NFL teams wear to support traumatic brain injury awareness?

  6. For some reason, there were no games in the Arizona Fall League yesterday. They normally take Sundays off, but this is the first time I can remember them taking a Saturday off.
