Game 3. Wolves @ NY Knicks 6:30pm

After a beat-em-down game against Oklahoma City, the Wolves hit the road for the first time and play the Knicks at the newly renovated Madison Square Garden. Corey Brewer pestered Kevin Durant all night Friday and now his assignment is to pester Carmelo Anthony. Should be fun!

The Wolves with be without Ronnie Turiaf, he has a broken elbow. I suspect rookie Gorgui Dieng will be seeing more minutes.

  1. The wife brought home a sixer 2013 Anchor Christmas. I don't know that she had seen me that excited since last time around this year. Other than when our daughter was born, of course... yeah.

      1. I also remember a certain 30/30 game against the Knicks, which is my favorite Knicks memory!

      1. i was skating with my daughter. first time in 34 years on skates. fell and broke my wrist. Thus ends my skating career.

          1. i have to go to specialist tomorrow. Might need surgery. I wanted so badly to skate with her. Should have known better.

          1. Aye to that. I broke my left wrist (dominant hand) a couple of weeks before taking my qualifying exams in grad school. That was a bitch.

    1. Oy, sorry, Boss. When I moved out from home, my mother made me promise I would never going skiing. She was convinced I would break every bone in my body. To this day I have never tried but part of me wants to show her she'd be wrong. Then again, that part of me would probably end up broken.

  2. The only other game going is on NBA TV, so it doesn't. Work on League Pass. Lame. Don't. Think I'll be spending the money because of dumb like that.

    1. Deadspin suggests that you don't.

We're starting to get complaints from people who paid their hard earned money for NBA's League Pass Broadband, presumably because they were unaware that it is just about the worst thing in the world, and are now angry because they're stuck with a non-functional service and horrifyingly non-responsive customer support.

    1. been thugs since Ive been following the NBA in the early 90s. The imprint of Pat Riley is still on that franchise.

  3. I thought the Wolves got the 'miss all the at the rim shots' out of their system last years. yeesh

  4. coming out of the time out, the Knicks ran an iso with the PG trying to do a layup against Pek. noice.

  5. Kevin Love's 89 points to start the season is the highest ever for a Timberwolves player. KG had 82 to start the 2004-05 campaign.

  6. Radio voice Alan Horton is a must follow for Wolves fans

    Alan Horton ‏@WolvesRadio
Martin's 12 FGA are the fewest ever for a #twolves player who scored 30+ (via Paul Swanson). #efficiency
