Australian Audit: Games of 11/3

Ryan Battaglia lifts Brisbane.  A big day for Trent Oejtjen.

BRISBANE 4, ADELAIDE 3 IN BRISBANE

Twins:  Logan Wade (Brisbane) was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run.

Adelaide:  Ben Lodge was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs.  Chris Adamson was 3-for-4 with a run.  Chris Jacobs (Dodgers) was 2-for-4 with a run.

Brisbane:  Ryan Battaglia (Cleveland) was 1-for-2 with two walks and a double, driving in three.  Alex Kaminsky pitched 5.2 innings, allowing two runs on eight hits and no walks with four strikeouts.

The game:  Adelaide scored single runs in the second and fourth.  In the fifth, a bases-loaded walks scored one for Brisbane and a three-run double by Battaglia made it 4-2.  Adelaide scored one in the eighth and had the tying run on base in both the eighth and the ninth.

SYDNEY 11, PERTH 0 IN PERTH

Sydney:  Trent Oeltjen (Angels) was 3-for-4 with two doubles and a grand slam, scoring three times and driving in five.  Keon Broxton (Arizona) was 3-for-4 with a walk and a double, driving in one.  Aaron Sookee (Angels) struck out five in six innings, giving up three hits and two walks.

Perth:  Tucker Nathans was 2-for-4 with a double.  Pilljoon Jang retired all seven batters he faced.

The game:  The Oeltjen grand slam capped a five-run second to put Sydney ahead 6-0.
