    I wanted to like this more than I do. I think part of the problem was when I first heard her this summer everyone was comparing her to Cat Power, which didn't do her any favors in my book. (No one compares to Chan Marshall.) Perhaps I need to give her another chance.

    Kinda related, somebody over at Canis Hoopus linked to Courtney Barnett a few weeks back. I am quite taken with the verbose stylings of this self-described Aussie slacker.
