ESCOGIDO 1, LICEY 0 IN ESCOGIDO

Twins:  Jorge Polanco (Escogido) was 1-for-4.

Licey:  Hector Noesi (Seattle) pitched four shutout innings, giving up three hits and no walks with three strikeouts.  Alfredo Figaro (Milwaukee) pitched four innings, giving up one run on three hits and no walks with three strikeouts.

Escogido:  Gregory Polanco (Pittsburgh) was 2-for-3.  Erik Gonzalez (Cleveland) was 1-for-3 with a triple and a run.  Kameron Loe struck out four in 4.1 innings, allowing two hits and no walks.

The game:  The lone run came in the sixth, when Gonzalez led off with a triple and scored on a sacrifice fly by Pedro Ciriaco (Pittsburgh).  Licey got a man to third base in the third and the sixth and loaded the bases with two out in the ninth.
