Twins: Jorge Polanco (Escogido) was 0-for-5. Deibinson Romero (Escogido) was used as a reserve and was 0-for-1.
Oriente: Audy Ciriaco was 1-for-4 with a walk and a two-run homer, his fifth. Alex Valdez was 1-for-4 with a walk and a home run, his fifth. Esmerling Vasquez struck out six in five innings, giving up an unearned run on one hit and two walks.
Escogido: Gregory Polanco (Pittsburgh) was 2-for-4 with two walks and a double, scoring twice and driving in one. Kevin Pillar (Toronto) was 2-for-5 with a walk and two runs. C. J. Cron (Angels) was 1-for-5 with a walk and a double, driving in one.
The game: Estrellas got a two-run homer from Ciricao in the first and a solo shot from Valdez in the second to take a 3-0 lead. Escogido scored in the fourth on an error and tied it with two in the sixth, getting RBI doubles from Gregory Polanco and Cron. There was no more scoring until the twelfth, when Pillar singled, stole second, went to third on a wild pitch, and scored on a Melky Mesa single.
AGUILAS 6, ESTE 3 IN ESTE
Twins: Danny Santana (Aguilas) was 2-for-4 with a run. Chris Colabello (Este) was 0-for-4.
Aguilas: Rafael Ynoa (Colorado) was 2-for-4 with a home run (his fourth) and two runs. Jermaine Curtis (St. Louis) was 1-for-3 with two walks and two runs. Juan Nicasio (Colorado) pitched six innings, giving up three runs (one earned) on three hits and one walk with five strikeouts.
Este: Joey Terdoslavich was 1-for-4 with a home run, his second. Alen Hanson (Pittsburgh) was 2-for-4 with a run.
The game: Aguilas got on the board in the first on a sacrifice fly and Ynoa homered in the third to make it 2-0. Este tied it in the third, scoring one on an error and another on a ground out. An RBI single by Andy Marte put Aguilas back in the lead and an RBI grounder made it 4-2. Terdoslavich homered in the bottom of the sixth to make it 4-3, but Aguilas put it out of reach with two in the seventh, getting one on a wild pitch and another on an RBI single by Hector Luna. Este brought the tying run up to bat with one out in the eighth but got no closer.
LICEY 5, CIBAO 1 IN CIBAO
Licey: Yamaico Navarro (Yankees) was 4-for-4 with a walk and a two-run homer, his seventh. Alex Hassan (Boston) was 1-for-3 with a walk and a homer. Hector Noesi (Seattle) pitched 5.2 innings, giving up one run on five hits and one walk with four strikeouts.
Cibao: Omir Santos was 1-for-2 with a double. Francisco Peguero (Baltimore) was 2-for-4 with an RBI.
The game: Hassan homered and Engel Beltre (Texas) had an RBI single in the second to give Licey a 2-0 lead. Navarro hit a two-run homer in the fifth to make it 4-0. Cibao got on the board in the sixth on Peguero's RBI single but got no closer.
