Wolves @ Bucks

I had a good time last night at the Wolves game.  Three minutes into the game and they were down 9-0, but by the middle of the 3rd quarter, the game was pretty much a blowout.  After the game, I saw Rubio leaving in his vehicle (he drives a Range Rover) and was about 10 feet away from him, which was pretty cool.

The Wolves have struggled big time in the second half of back-to-backs, but they have an easier task tonight against Milwaukee and their starters got a lot of rest in the 4th quarter last night.

  1. Much of the talk at the game with my group last night revolved around Kevin Martin's level of smrt.

        1. What was the consensus? I lean towards average to slightly above average based on his efficiency when he's going good.

          1. Well, he was repeatedly called the smartest player in the NBA, but it was meant ironically. A lot of it was based on him giving the ball to Chris Paul at the end of the Clippers game. I don't think he's that smart, he's just a good shooter.

            1. I'm hesitant to say much from one game during a bad shooting stretch in which he's probably frustrated and was obviously pressing.

                  1. having watched a lot of him from the beginning of his career, I am willing to go so far as to say he has solid bskbll smrts. But he doesn't try very hard on defense. That's pretty much always been the case.

  2. So that half looked like a way better, but maybe a little tired team beating a far inferior team, which makes me reasonably happy even if the lead should probably be larger.

  3. Also, does Benz always kind of suck like this? He doesn't like ten minutes saying something about Stephen King while basketball was happening and hasn't really had a whole lot to add.

    1. I think Benz is an ok play by play guy, but has improved a lot from last year.
I like how he tries to bring in advanced stats in the the game, and he sets up Jim Pete well. But sometimes he gets lost during the action or starts a story and never finishes

          1. I want to feel bad for the guy because he's probably grown up thinking he's really great and the AAU culture probably fed him bad advice, but he really is terrible and Flip should have been immediately fired for that pick.

            1. Remember when we all thought Corey Brewer was terrible? Well, he was. But now he is a decent player.

I have not seen Shabazz since the NCAA tourney, when I thought he was bad. Is there no hope?

              1. The little I've actually seen of the guy he's looked like hot garbage and his box scores when I haven't watched don't help any. Brewer has always at least had defense to give him a chance, but ole Bazzy doesn't even have that to go along with bad shooting, terrible decision making, and no ability to get to the rim.

                Flip done screwed up.

                1. Shabazz should be logging minutes in the D-League instead of getting DNP-CD on his stat line.

    1. I declare this game over

ok, I read that in a southern gentleman's voice and I was hoping the next line would be 'Im going to a cotillion'
