  1. I know the Suns are supposed to be good or something, but this is gonna be an EZ win.

    1. With everything that has gone right for me today, I believe it will inspire the Wolves to victory. Also, my wife and kids are out in the Dells tonight, so I can actually sit down and watch.

  2. So I really like this "other team looking sluggish after a road back-to-back" thing. It's nice.

  3. Yes! The British feed I'm watching just played the Love Dial commercial.

EDIT: Oh wait, its the ESPN feed. Damn, thought i was special.

  4. Here is the difference between Rubio and everyone else. Love had the ball and Brewer rolled off. Love passed and slid back to his 'slot three' position wide open, Brewer didnt even give him a look, went kamikaze (because Brewer) into the paint and missed a lay up.

    1. Yeah, that was annoying and is a pretty good summary of why Brewer is someone I don't really like.

  5. Also, the Wolves should maybe start guarding the three point line. I think they have it covered down low so can give resources to outside.

    1. It looks like he is trying too hard. Maybe wants to make an impression on national tv instead of playing his game.

      1. I could buy that explanation. There's definitely something far different going on than we're used to seeing.

  6. Alright, Suns have lead but have missed more free throws. This will be a Wolvsian game for them.

  7. Rick Adelman standing up for the Wolves. Love and Pek getting hammered and no fouls.

  8. Announcer: "If you get 5 tries, you're gonna make one of them."
Me: "Nope. If you get 5 tries, it means you've already missed the first 4, so your chances are no better than usual."

      1. I don't think that announcer wants to step. I'm one of the stronger math nerds that exists!

      1. yeah, he has been competent to good the last 5 or so games. which is saying something about the bench play as a whole.

      1. I was actually going to give the opposite opinion. Always more elegant to type the number out, dammit.

  9. Since my screen is pretty small, whenever I see a bald ref I immediately confuse him for Joey Crawford. All refs in the NBA should be required to have hair so we know whether or not we need to get mad.

    Also, go away Pauls.

    1. To recap:

Sarcastically hand waving after a crappy call - technical foul.

Getting in the face of a ref while your teamates try to hold you back - perfectly fine.

  10. Seriously though, only a six point deficit with Love playing badly and the refs biased. I think they win the second half pretty big here.

    1. He's been making some absurd shots against him tonight, though. I see a second half regression when those stop falling.

  11. I continue to be amazed by Pek. I have no idea how he constantly gets position on guys on the offensive glass, but its way fun to watch.

          1. I dislike everything about ESPN's presentation of the NBA. The announcers (sans Mike Tirico), the production values, everything.

            1. I would dig for the FSN feed, but the ESPN feed I found is of really good picture quality.

    1. Plumlee stopped making whatever he tossed up would be a good starting point for an explanation. Seemed like they also, generally, started paying attention to Channing Frye as well.

        1. Seems about like these refs to only throw that guy out when the entire rest of the arena is as well.

        1. Remember when stupid people were recently suggesting trading Pek for Asik (on CH). Those were good times.

    1. I'm trying really hard to go with "they've been unlucky" and that first half was so brutally officiated that they have an argument, but ugghhhh,

And I stand by my opinion that Brewer needs to go. Budinger could have played just as shitty of defense there but probably scored the extra couple points to put the team over the top.

    1. I will blame Corey Brewer for this one (that rotation at the end was brutal) but Green had absolutely no business hitting that shot.

      1. Yeah, that was an asshole shot that Green hit. I was IMing with a friend during the game and said "now the Wolves are going to miss a bunny to make this the most Wolves loss possible" and sure enough...

  12. It looked to me like this not being able to win a close game thing has gotten into the Wolves' heads. They just completely fell apart the final two minutes. It's sad when the Wolves could learn from the Gophers how to win a basketball game down the stretch.

  13. From AP:

They are 0-10 in games decided by four points or less this season, but the thing that troubled Love most was seeing J.J. Barea and Dante Cunningham sulking at the end of the bench in the final quarter.

''We all need to be in this together,'' Love said. ''That kind of (ticks) me off. We're supposed to be a team.''

Love didn't call out either veteran by name, but the body language for Barea and Cunningham in the fourth made them easily identifiable.

''If and when I did that last year when maybe I didn't sit out for the game for all 48 minutes and so on and so forth, they would have killed me,'' Love said, referring to him missing many games last year with a broken hand. ''They would've aired me out. That's tough. It's two guys that we expect more from them. I think they expect more from themselves.''
