Escogido got the run back in the sixth when Eury Perez (Washington) singled in a run. Licey closed to 3-2 in the seventh on Francisco's RBI single. Licey got the tying run to third in the seventh and again in the ninth but could not bring him in.

That lead didn't last long either, as Peguero drove in a run with a single in the bottom of the third to tie it up. Peguero singled home another run in the fifth to put Cibao ahead 5-4, but again it didn't last long, as Aguilas scored two in the sixth on a Hector Luna homer and a squeeze bunt. Juan Perez homered in the ninth to tie it up yet again, but in the bottom of the ninth Garabez Rosa delivered a pinch-hit single with the bases loaded and two out to win the game.
