Interesting "groups". Anyone got any idea how they get separated into those?
Degree of passiveness?
Parmelee needs to switch with Santana to make an all-SS group.
Nice call.
See, if Herrmann was still around instead of Parmelee, then we could've had an "all-catchers" group 2 and an "all-SS group 3".
And I'm going with "all-statues" for group 1.
Willingham could switch between statues and catchers and Plouffe could do the same between statues and shortstops. Mauer, Plouffe, Parmelee and Hicks could make an all first-rounder group.
Chrissy!!
Hey, crooked number on the scoreboard!
This season, Aaron Hicks has 5 more walks (19) than hits (14)
Aaron "Passive" Hicks does have a nice ring to it.
One more walk and he'll have as many walks as bases.
according to Gleeman, the knives have been sharpened.
Dozier's B-day today; I predict a long, long fly...
I have this suspicion that Colabello may be regressing...
Uhh, possibly Kubel as well.
Why did Colabello PH for Baby J yesterday?
Good question. Any reports of Gardy being put on the 7-day DL this morning?
Back maybe? Could explain why he's at DH today.
He's said that his back isn't 100% but it's good enough to play now. With the big deficit, Gardy probably wanted to take it easy on him and then today is a day game after a night game so gave him lighter load of DH. I'd prefer Mauer to DH against the lefty yesterday, however.
This Phil Hughes guy is okay.
8 strikeouts, 0 walks. I'm thinking Hughes was a good pickup.
Coulda gone 7 innings, too, if Boegarts weren't a dick.
According to radio guys, almost a month since Hughes' last BB
#6pen to the rescue...?
Burton only threw 6 pitches last inning; Fien has to come in now?!?
Bullpen management!
Perk a little more obligatory than usual today
Middlebrooks?? guh.
well dammit.
Just setting up Chrissy
I hope so or Gardy won't have any pitchers tomorrow.
Uno.
Do. Not. Like.
Yeesh, is Gameday's graphical representation of those two fly outs as loud in real life as it looked on my computer?
Both long pop-ups really
Gameday showed them as basically over the wall, but the after-the-fact view makes them more closely match what you said.
That was a pretty passive game winner.
I was gonna say passive aggressive. A true Minnesotan!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sweet! Now what else is on? It's still May in retail and nobody's here...
Rochester is playing Columbus right now.
If I could access that game, I'd be all over it.
Wild Game 7 tonight!
oh.
I don't know about anyone else, but Jamie Hersch has been growing on me. She's articulate, upbeat, and asks pretty decent questions when she does player interviews.
She's a LOT better this year than she was last year, I think. She also handles opposing team's players pretty well.
Aaron Hicks??? wut?
Clearly the Twins knew they had to publicly rip him so he could get the game winning hit today. Just like they drew it up.
Also, I love this.
How do you know what you want to do without a plan? I think Sinker didn't have a plan for that tweet.
Sounds like someone hasn't spent much time in corporate America.
Me or Sinker? I do nothing but listen to corporate earnings calls all day.
Reading some other things written about Hicks, this sounds like a communication issue. Similar to Anderson's "pitch to contact" meaning to just throw strikes, it isn't that Hicks is laid back but not properly preparing himself for games.
