  2. Pitbull is probably my favorite canine-named act in all of music. Except for Hound Dog Taylor. And Howling Wolf. And Dr. Dog. And probably Snoop. And the Honeydogs. And Wolf Parade. Oh, and definitely the Ink Spots. And Rex Harrison. Maybe Toto. (That one's close.)

    3. I'm trying to remember his crossover single. It had a good beat, and he was on it. Then he was on other people's hit singles. Thus, he must be a star.
      Plus, corporate advertisers needed a way to advertise to Spanish-speaking Americans. "Hey, this Pitbull guy is a genuine star (not just a Spanish-language star), and he's still popular with the Spanish-speaking demographic. Let's have him sell our lime beer!"
