August 18, 2014: Homestretch

I'll be in MN in under two weeks.

My schedule:

8/31: Arrive, probably hang with high school friend
9/1: State Fair. Who else wants to go?
9/2: Twins game at night, probably with dinner at Hrbek's (or wherever; I just want to spend some real time at the park) beforehand. During the day, it's wide open.
9/3: Daytime is open. Nighttime is likely to be a CdL/CJ/WGOM get-together unless I split them up somehow. Unfortunately, after this date I'm unlikely to be available to see anyone, as I'll be in my hometown preparing for my brother's wedding.

So who wants to caucus???

  1. Speaking of podcasts, Mike Pesca's the Gist is pretty outstanding.

Thanks for the suggestions, 99% is a winner winner chicken dinner.

  2. Your hometown ain't too far from where I am... We should just caucus down here for once.

    1. I love how he calls himself safe and just keeps on running past the ump. Excellent GIF.

    1. Here's the actual quote:

"I mean, Fangraphs really gets after it showing how aggressive them Royals batters are, 'nd we just want SABRie to get out there and battle its tail off for us, that's what we like to see."

  3. I've just read the first few chapters in "Ham on Rye". I'm both captivated and worried about how things are going to progress. The sign of a really good book.
