Here's the game log for any that want to watch sudden death baseball.
ROYELZ!!!
If I did not know better, I would have said that Big Mak was on the hook to buy Miz Mak a puppy if the Royals win. Anybody else see that?
Eh?
End of inning. Camera focuses on a woman holding a sign that read "if the Royals win he's buying me a puppy" pointing at a guy who looked more than a bit like Mak. It wasn't mrs mak, so surely not the cheetah guy. But made me think of him.
I wish I could be watching this because from the sound of the Twitters the Royals are getting Yosted in this game.
Eh. 98-mph, low fastball gets golfed? What are you gonna do? It was a pretty decent pitch.
Keep in mind I'm forming this opinion based on one of the least reputable sources of info mankind has ever seen.
SF101?
Pulling Big Game James, your ace pitcher, in the sixth inning at less than 90 pitches to bring in a young starting pitcher in the middle of an inning to face lefty power hitters. Terrible decision. Finnegan would have at least made sense. It would have made more sense to bring in Herrera one-out earlier when the Royals still had the lead. The Royals won this game in spite of Yost. They should have won earlier and by a bunch.
Sorry Royals, but this is GOSO.
Pretty much.
You were saying?
Billy Beane is the Duke of North Alamedaford, and that's who GH was speaking to.
I think he is more like the Sultan of North Alamedastan.
Well, it was nice to let Royals' fans have a little taste of the playoffs after being gone for so long.
And a lead for a couple innings.
This is the first Royals postseason appearance in my lifetime. I'm 28.
At least you have seen fewer postseason losses than Miss SBG has of the Twins.
The best part of this game is no Joe Buck.
Like.
Why are the Royals stealing so many bases down 3 or 4 runs?
TWINS BASEBALL!!
Oh my...
Well this game took a Cuddyer triple of a turn.
I wish I was at Kauffman right now.
That pitch was ten feet outside. Sheesh
That was some _elm_nesque swinging to end the inning.
Or 2008 Cuddyer
Of course Lester goes out for the eighth. It's as if the A's didn't load up on relievers for the game.
One run leas going I to the ninth inning? This feels like watchable television.
I so wanted to be asleep by now. Damn Royals
Me too. I have to get up extra early tomorrow, too.
Funny, it's unwatchable to me.
Darling? Or TBS in general?
I think Darling was the guy that said that ground balls in the metrodome picked up speed with each bounce.
TBS, because it's on cable.
I figured.
I don't mind Darling if I pretend he's someone else...

No stolen base needed.
Doolittle has a seriously disgusting beard.
Hammer!
Little hammer to the rescue!
Gutsy steal.
That took some balls.
OMG, I'm gonna be up all night.
Possible free baseball coming up.
Dyson is fast.
Out of nowhere, Nick Punto appears.
And then just as quickly disappears.
Hosmer looked at Punto and said "That's how you [expletive] slide into first."
Dammit.
MOAR BUNTING!!!
I honestly don't remember the last time I saw this many in a game.
It has been very....bunty.
It's the curse of the Punto.
4 for 44 since the all star break. Oish. Rough year for Nix.
C'mon, man. I need to get some sleep.
This is the song that never ennnnnnnds!
Gordo is probably in heaven. Sooo bunty.
I didn't even know bunty was a word until 9 minutes ago.
But a very impressive stint by Finnigan and his wake.
I hope he doesn't get tagged with the loss.
Is Bruce Chen still in KC?
No. DFA'd and released around the waiver trade deadline.
Boo.
Bunts? What about passed balls? Good gravy.
Passed ballsy, I guess.
Oh, sweet. Another wild pitch. We need a contact play to complete my bingo card.
Callaspo!
Four for his last fifty?
Nick Punto with a chance to be a hero. Swing hard!
He should have bunted.
KC has a backup catcher and Raul Ibanez left on the bench
Unpossible that both teams have such deep benches.
One-game 25-player roster?
You don't need a starting rotation.
And yet another twist...
Impossible.
Wonder what would've happened with Crisp out there.
On the replay, nothing. Fuld is about as good as it gets out there.
Yeah, it looked initially like it could've been an out without the convergence. Looks can be deceiving.
You are shitting me.
Good grief.
how good is colon at bunting
soft infield hit is like a failed bunt
TWINS BASEBALL!!!
Contact play!
Wow.
A non-failed contact play
Game 163 flashbacks everywhere.
i got abad feeling about this pitching change
Everytime I see that Budweiser commercial I think that dog really has to pee.
Heh.
Well, why wouldn't my feed freeze while the Royals come back in the 12th?
I'm about to hurl this crappy laptop through a window.
Hey, a Twins lowlight!
Really, Bob? One pitch? In the 12th?
Wow.
Wow.
Wasn't really meant to go here, but it works.
He knew he wouldn't need anyone for the 13th.
Wow. They screwed up the pitchout.
And it cost them the game and postseason.
Yeah, that drop ended up being a big deal.
that was crazy
but was it a sure thing the A's catchers could throw any Royals out?
No. In retrospect the Billy Butler CS may have been the play of the game.
OFFS.
GOSO thanks to a dropped pitch-out. Wow.
Heck of a game. Not that well played, but exciting as hell.
I hope no one was playing the "sac bunt drinking game"
It's OK, everyone who was is long dead.
No Adam Dunn?
Did not want to break his "no playoffs" streak. Gotta respect the streak.
Well, Walt's bracket is busted. Meanwhile, the Royals are one of the two teams that nobody picked to win the World Series.

Mak =? Daneeka's Ghost?
Err, yea. DG.
Maybe the Royals should start walking Moss.
It's Brandon Moss Day.
seriously

That's okay. I'm happy for the Royals fans.
