The Royals are 6 outs away from going to the World Series.
The Royals.
It'll be interesting to see if they can get the coin to come up heads four more times.
More than even I would predict.
Sweeeeeeep!
Wow.
Royals are 8-0 in the postseason. Seven of those wins came in their last at-bat or by one run (or both). Incredible. They have to be hoping for the Cardinals to win tonight to tie the series, then probably don't care.
The Royals were 22-25 in one-run games during the regular season and 5-7 in extra innings. This isn't something they've shown a unique talent for this year. Here's hoping whatever magic they have doesn't run out during the World Series.
Among teams of the AL Central Division, the Twins have the longest pennantless streak.
The Royals have an 11-game postseason winning streak.
Next year, the Blue Jays are making the playoffs.
The 1927-35 Yankees and 1998-99 Yankees have the longest streaks, 12 games.
Im having mixed feelings. When my team is not in it, I want 7 game series. The Royals have swept everything, which take a little excitement out of the playoffs, but all the games have been exciting!
The quicker they get to a channel I can watch, the better.
I scrambled for a radio broadcast
1500 didn't pick up until 6pm on the dot. Before that I had a few words from Reusse (I think).
Harold Reynolds somehow managed to say "Mercy" three different times during the first inning of the NLCS. He's either a) asily amazed, b) turning into Hawk Harrelson, or c) subtly telling the viewers that he feels bad for us having to endure him and Joe Buck together.
He's probably trying to invoke the mercy rule on behalf of Joe Buck's pants.
Making me visualize that... that's a disgusting act!

And just to cheer you up Zack (h/t Bob Collins)

This is really great. The similarities are uncanny!
That was example 1,000,000,000,000,000,006 why AJ is the best. I love that clown.
